Another awesome update leaving me speechless.

I'm a die hard fan of Arnav and Khushi and never read anything on IF which is not arshi. And yet this update had me wishing that NK should be there by Khushi's side, as her friend, her husband, her shadow and her lover. Such mundane act and so many memories. And that parallel parking scene reminded me that such memories and joys are always there, it's only when you loose that one person to with whom you share everything, that it hurts the most.

Arnav's eight question showed the comforts level they once shared and the level to which they knew each other. His thought of him made her laugh than and now too, was he cherishing it?

And Khushi's response to questions and a stepping away from her present and relishing the girl of past was a reflection to what she was before loosing her husband. And her unasked question of why now, is as if she was the one waiting for Arnav to return after whatever happened ten years, ten months and nine days ago.

Arnav's fleeting reaction to Khushi's profession and her specialization and the solemn picture of Mohan, is he a kid with special need, where Khushi can help?

Is this by any chance the reason of Arnav's return? Or is it a mere chance?

Another great chapter!

I really felt for Khushi when she was missing NK that badly.

I am dying to know more about ArHi's past. And does Arnav's son has ASD??? If so then it means Khushi might go with him to India to treat his child.

Waiting for the next chap! :)

Your above lines reminded me of the song from the movie "Yaadein", so apt for the situation here.

Lightning wasn't as scary anymore, she thought. What could be more scary than this abyss of silence and loneliness in her head?: Good god, M, you start off with beautiful imagery. Keep this up, and I'm not going to have any words of praise left because I'll have used them all.

The indignation that comes from Khushi at the memory of NK finding her nose (of all things) sexy made me laugh- and then, you made me tear up when she whispers his name. I experience so many emotions while reading this, and I love it so damn much.

Then the scene where Meera's asleep and she walks over and puts a home video in... you've woven this picture in my mind, and it's heart wrenching and beautiful- reminds me of those pictures in Harry Potter that move, a snapshot of a moment. A GIF, I guess you could say?

I love the conversation she has with Manorama- the contrast between their two relationships, and the story she tells... reminds me of my own grandfather, who I just left behind.

For me, my favorite moment when they were texting was when he doesn't respond (since he's clearing security), and K has to resist the urge to look at her phone- I've done it so many times, waiting for a text from someone, and trying not to look like I'm waiting. 😆 I can just see her doing it, and I know exactly how she feels in that moment.

I liked the Arnav Khushi moments- but for me, this chapter was about the first half. I loved the story you weaved, and I didn't even mind that Arnav wasn't there- I was too busy watching my moving pictures.

This comment ended up being way longer than I anticipated. Oops. 😆

Oh my dear M! Let's just say I don't think I have ever connected emotionally to story that I have with Second Chances... you need to take a bow for every like, and every comment you get for every update because you are one remarkable writer. 👏 Are you sure this is your first time writing? I think you are on top of my list for favorite writer...

Coming to this update... Chapter 4, and the 4th time I am left speechless to ponder over how I can articulate a proper comment. It's not going to do justice to your writing... I loved the beginning as Khushi reminisce about her husband and her best friend. It's so true, when your husband is your friend the relationship is very different. Every moment that you live with person it's not habit (quoting Manorma here), it's your way of living life to the fullest. Your share your life, and they share yours, that is what you better half is all about.

Manorma's story, was so relate-able for her generation. I have seen many who feel that way. So for her to admit that shows the bond these two ladies share. I truly love their relationship, it is so touching.

I missed my little girl Meera today...

Ahhh the text conversation... I love them! Texting to me is way to have that non direct conversation, but a way to really get someone to open up with the right question or response. This was awesome! They are finding their way back as friends, and it seems like there might be potential for more...maybe, I don't know...but boy I do hope there is more...

Sorry if my comment was all over the place, I am still pondering over the update... Is it Friday yet????

"Tears combined forces with her smile"

How wonderfully you write of her past joy and of her present pain which has engulfed her being. Isn't it strange how while we're making those happy memories, which were like a warm comfortable blanket, it never strikes us how one day those very same memories will be the cause of our sleeplessness. An exhilarating moment that hurts.

As I've always said, I love the way you've shown Khushi's and Manorama's relationship. Reading about their marriages juxtaposed in this manner, brings home just how much Manorama's astitva' was lost in the fulfilment of duty. Living the life expected of her. Love the way you wrote Khushi saying "everything and everyone you lost".

"She knew she was being juvenile, but he started it!" - these flashes of impulsiveness which Arnav elicits in Khushi transporting her instantly to a younger carefree self make me even more intrigued to know of the nature of their past relationship.
