Chapter Twenty one

Karan and Arjun were discussing about the case, watching the construction work progressing inside the garage, while Robin called Karan.

Robin : Karan...are you free at the evening?

Karan : why?

Robin : I'm going for a bowling match...thought you would like to come...

Arjun signaled Karan to say yes.

Karan : Ok.

After cutting the call, Karan asked Arjun what he was thinking.

Arjun : I've some doubts...bass wahi clear karni hain! Aur...

He was interrupted by another voice.

Anjali : kya clear karna hain?

Arjun looked around, anjali as standing there, in her shorts and purple shirt. Arjun smiled at her, and she came to her Mr. Arjun, hurriedly.

Arjun : aaram se Anjali...kya hain?

Anjali : main na woh accounts dekh rahi thi...Di ki nayee phone se, bohot cool hain...aur bohot saare apps vi hain jo...

Arjun : kiska account dekha tumne?

Anjali : woh pehle Anik ki account check karr rahi thi...he spends money like water. Bass account main deposite hone ki deri hain, withdraw karne main zara sa vi time nehi lagata...

Karan : yeh toh humko pata hain...

Anjali : aaj Pragya ka account check kia...kaafi interesting hain... pata hain usko salary uski scale se vi zyada milta hain...company ke GM se vi zyada...

Karan : kya!!

Anjali : Haan...di ne kahan kuch detail check karni hain...tum dono ko bulane ko...

Her voice trailed off as both men sprinted to the house, leaving her behind.

Dishari was siting cosily on her bed, talking over her phone. When Karan-Arjun berged into her room. She was baffled at the sudden noice and cut the call.

Di : Whoa! boys! Aise kyun ghus gaey meri bedroom main?

Arjun : Kya pata chala?

Di signaled them to sit. Arjun took the chair and sat on it facing her, karan mad himself comfortably on her bed, near her legs.

Di : Anjali has already told you that Pragya receives a huge amount each month from company. Toh I did som background check. Pragya ki qualification ke hisab se usko iss waqt kisi multinational company main hona chahiy tha, she is an certified CA, and topper of her institute...

Arjun : So? Mukharjee builders is a huge company...

Di : Toh Pragya ko accounts section main hona chahiye tha...why she is doing with the owner? That too as a PS? Company chairman ka PS itnaa important post nehi hain ke iske liye itna highly qualified hona zaroori hain, ya phir itnaaa saara kaam ke liye GM se jyada salary...kuch khatka nehi kya?

Karan : sach main mummy!! Maamla gadbad hain...

Arjun : Mayb koi bada finantial problem thi...

Di : Haan...toh I asked Simi to check on her, aur thora aur background check kii, toh ek aur mazedaar baat samne aaya.

Karan : kya?

Simram entered with Anjali.

Di : Simran se suno... Simi?

Simran : Pragya's mom was an widow,her husband passed away when she was about 7-8 month pregnant, then she struggled a lot with that little girl. She had no relatives, may be she was an orphan...

Arjun : Orphan? But her in-laws?

Simran : She didn't talked about her parents or in-laws... Neither she mingled with her nighbours, she used to keep the young Pragya in day -care when she was out for her job, and when she grew up, an aged couple in nighbourhood look after her... that was the only family she used to see.

Arjun : You talked to thm?

Simran : Couldn't, they've vacanted their house and went for pilgrims. And Pragya is a loner too, like her mom, moreover, she spends most of her days in Mukharjee mansion.

Di : And the most intersting fact is, Pragya ki mom, was Mr. Mukharjee's former PA. and she got the job after her mom passed away. Mr. Mukharjee helped a lot that family during her illness, finally he took responsibility of her daughter. But Pragya ki self respect ne usko ehsaan lene ka ejazaat nehi deta toh she started doing her mom's job...until she'll get a good one.

Arjun : but agar uski result itna hi acchi thi... toh avi tak Mr. Mukharjee ne usko koi accha post offer kyun nehi kii?

Simran : maybe it's that so called blind love... PA ka post...it's quite a good option to keep that girl around him.

Karan : May be...but Di...yeh info tumko kaise mila? Kahin tumne Ronny ki mom ko...

Di : Yup...I said I found a good match for her...toh she told me everything about her...I mean jitna who jaanti hain.

Arjun : So Pragya ka vi kuch connection hain iss game main...Karan , pata karr is ladki ka koi aur past hain ya nehi... kahi koi isko blackmail toh nehi karr raha? Ya phir...

Di : Yeh ladki mukharjee ko blackmail kar rahi hogi.

Di : Kyunki Mr. Mukharjee ke baaton se mujhe laga ke...he still loves his wife, agar unko shadi karke life main aage badna hi tha, toh who yeh bohot pehle karr chuke hote, Anik vi chota tha... He needed a mom too...tab hi woh aapni life main kisiko aane nehi dia toh aab kya zaroorat hain?

Simran : but he's lonely now... Anik vi unse kaafi dur ho chuke hain...aur iss umar main ek saathi ka zaroorat hota hain...

Di : Yehi toh problem hain...yeh Pragya wala affair mujhe kuch thik nehi lag raha hain...yahan woh typical boss-secretery wala love story set nehi ho raha...

Arjun : Kuch toh choot raha hain...

All: Kya!!

Arjun : Kuch nehi...chal Robin se puch lenge...

Di : Robin!! Don't tell me you are going to the mansion...

Karan : Nop, he invited us for a bowling match...toh sports club jaa raha hoon...

Simran : Main vi chalungi...

Karan : Nehi...yahan Di ke paas ruko.

Di : actually hum sab chalenge...tum log match enjoy karo...hum 3 pizza party karenge...what say meri angel?

Anjali : Haan chalo...mujhe choco chip icecram vi chahiye..

Rao was staring at some reports, he was worried. Shukla & Rathod came in with some more stacks of papers.

Ansari : Kya baat hain! Office ka saara raddi maal nikal ke le aaye ho!

Rao : Stop it, Ansari! Intelligence ka reports hain ...About that RD.

Rathod : His last location was old Mumbai...

Shukla : then he was just vanished in the air...

Rathod : aur surprisingly kisi vi file main iska koi detail nehi hain...kyun?

Rao : Kyunki saala kavi pakda nehi gaya!

Rao checked the file and banged it on table.

Rao(Vineeta) : guys, hum jis hotels aur lodge ko under survailance rakha tha...( she moved to the fact board and tapped for the list)...yahan kuch names hain, jaise madhu l0dge, Shahed mahal, midnight honey...

Rathod : so, you want to say that... that honey means a lodge, bar or pub?

Rao (vineeta) : makes sence, na?

Rao : toh ground potato ka kya karegi? woh kahan fit hota hain? aur 32gm, 11tsp...iska meaning kya hain? kuch vi ulta seedha bolti hain...

Ansari : maybe distract karne ke liye dia hain...

Rathod : nop, ek coded message ki harr part important hota hain...we can't look over...

Khan was looking at the fact board, and he supported Rathod.

Khan : right. look at them... kuch toh connection hain...

Rao : toh kya kare? sab under survaillance hain... aaj tak koi activities nehi hua...

Shukla : kuch nehi? arre thik se dekho? all are under surveillance because pehle wahan kuch na kuch crime hua hain...criminals waha jaate hain...

Banarjee : ok...we've sorted all honey and their synonymes in a place...total 7 hain...

Sen : with addresses...

a new window popped up on the screen and 3 voices screamed at a time.

Rao : house 32!

Ansari : road 11!

Rathod : Honey love!! Damm it!

Shukla : loh! ek jhatke main problem solve ho gaya...

Rao (Vineeta) : complextion scale 10 tak hota hain... yeh 10.30 sirf dead bodies me milenge...agar yakeen na aaye toh Aiyar se confirm karr lo.

Robin came with two of his friends and asked karan-Arjun to join them for the match. he greeted the ladies and invited them to watch the match. girls took a table near the game zone and ordered coffee and pizza.

the game was exciting , Robin was a good player and Arjun was no less, karan was showing his skills quite good.

Robin : next time main aap dono ke saath hi team up karungi...yaar you are too good...

Karan : arre tujhe kya pata...main toh champion reh chuka hoon...aur yeh shera ko vi maine hi train kia hain...

he bowled and cleared the que. another team took their cue now.

Karan : yaar robin...yeh Pragya ka kuch samajh nehi aaya... I saw her in the bazaar last day...kuch ajeeb logon ke saath batt karr raha tha...i mean jhagar raha tha..

Robin ; matlab Anik ne piche lagaya hoga. yeh ladka kuch vi karr sakta hain.

Arjun : Par pragya is a secretery...usko kyun?

Robin : Anik ko dushmani nikalne ke liye koi wajah nehi chahiye? kahi baar pragya di ne usse batt karne ki koshes ki... samjhana and all that...aur jab baap-bete main shuru ho jaaata hain toh wahi beech main aa jati hain rokne ko...

Arjun : Matlab he treats her as his enemy?

Robin : haan, khas karr iss accident ke baad. Suddenly he seems very interesting in company accounts and business...aapni dad ki saath saaye ki tarha chipak ke rehta hain... aur Pragya se harr dusre baat pe aan bann hota rehta hain.

Karan : Aisa kyun? Pragya toh Anik ke liye accha source of information ho sakta hain na?

Robin : arre usko itna samajh kahan? mann maani karno ko roko toh sab bure, aur jo vi Mr. Mukharjee ke taraf se bolta hian woh sab uski dushman hain... pragya ko toh woh bear hi nehi karr sakta, ghar main , office main ya kahin aur, mauka milta hain toh humiliate karta hain. in fact kavi kavi Mr. Mukharjee aur uski bare main ulta seedha vi bolta hain.

Karan : jaise?

Robin : jaise? ek baar suna tha, he was saying, "Dad ke saath tumhara kya chakkar chal raha hain woh main jaanta hoon, mooh mat khulwao mera". aab isse bura aur kya ho sakta hain?

Arjun : Pragya ne kaise react kia?

Robin : anik ko woh kuch nehi kehti...par chup chup ke rote hue dekha maine usko...aur haan...kahin baar Anik ne Pragya se vi paise lie hain...specially jab Mr. Mukharjee usko kisi kaam ke liye cash dete hain..

Karan : usne Mr.Muykharjee se report nehi kii?

Robin : pata nehi... shayed nehi kii...

Arjun : Waise Pragya mansion main hi rehti hain kya?

Robin : haan...after her mom passed away, Mr. Mukharjee insisted her to stay in the house, humari saath servant's wing main rehti hain...aur ghar ki expense wagera vi dekhti hain...

Arjun's eyes fell on the corner and he found girls were enjoying, but he frowned when he saw Dishari was missing from there. he got up, looking around for Dishari.

Robin : where are you going? it's our turn...

Arjun : start karo...i'll be back in a minute.

He reached the girls and inquires about Di.

Simran : she's attending a call.

and she pointed to another corner of the play zone, Di was leaning against the railing of the scatting zone and talking over the phone.

Arjun sighed in relief , and at the next instance he ran towards her.

Arjun : Disha! move away!!
