Kareena joins Malabar Gold in making Dubai celebration chain

Dubai: Indian film actress Kareena Kapoor Khan joined Malabar Gold & Diamonds in the creation of the world's longest handmade chain, jointly being manufactured by Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group (DGJG) and Dubai Festival & Retail Establishments (DFRE) along with selected manufacturers.

Kareena Kapoor Khan joined Shamlal Ahamed MP, managing director - International Operations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, in connecting a link of this historic chain.

She also pre-booked a part of this chain from the biggest jewellery outlet in Dubai " Malabar Gold & Diamonds showroom in Gold Souk, just after the launch of this showroom. She also appreciated the efforts taken by Malabar Gold & Diamonds, being the largest partner in the manufacturing of this chain.

"I am really proud to own a part of this historic chain and I am very excited to be a part of this initiative," the actress said.

Dubai Shopping Festival, the world's largest shopping extravaganza, will celebrate its 20th anniversary in January 2015. The world's longest chain is being manufactured to commemorate this milestone.

The remarkable creation, which is aptly named as Dubai Celebration Chain' will mark another record in the history of Dubai. The public will also get a chance to be a part of history by owning a part of it in the form of bracelets or chains.

Speaking on this occasion, Shamlal Ahamed said: "Dubai is a nation that always strives to make the impossible possible. It is a country that constantly tries to outdo not only itself, but also the entire world. Hence, I was not surprised with the official attempt of making another entry in to the Guinness book of World Records' by making the longest handmade gold chain.
