The celebrated director has given the hindi film industry one its most memorable films, Ek Duje Ke Liye. He'd introduced great actors like Kamal Haasan and Rajnikanth (Apoorva Raagangal) and was also a mentor to them.

_____

It turns out to be much disappointing news to the entire world of cinema as veteran filmmaker K. Balachander passed away before few minutes at a private hospital giving up his private battle with prolonged illness. His wide span of years of in Tamil cinema running up to 45 years commenced in 1965 with his maiden debut Neer Kumizhi... Turning the global spotlights on with his directorial prowess, heavy punch of unconventional stories and hitting straight on reality grounds ennobled him as a maverick filmmaker of all times. He holds some of the most prestigious honours like Kalaimamani, Padma Shri, Dadasaheb Phalke Award and ANR National Award.

The multi-faceted versatile personality has endowed the entire Indian cinema with the greatest pillars like Superstar Rajnikanth and Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan.

Let us pray that the soul of this legend rest in peace...

RIP KB sir.

Another era comes to end Indian Cinema. He was one of the finest directors and introduced stars like Rajini Kanth, Kamal Haasan, Saritha, Prakash Raj, Vivek. Females of his movies was always very strong and he gave them equal screen space. The subjects he touched was something others wouldnt dare during that time.
