What was the need of an extreme character like Sarika. Can't we have a more realistic mellow down Sarika ..

I am not able to watch with this (new) absurdness ..

Anybody else sharing my situation/opinion.

I completely agree! And if by her manipulative ways she will cause a rift between Vikram and Shobha- the show will become unwatchable.
The Shobha- Vikram relationship has evolved beautifully! Even for the sake of drama I hope it is not marred by Sarika and her OTT behaviour

I agree with you, but I feel that they made Sarika's character so dark and conniving because it will help vikram clearly see that she is "bad" and make his decision to not go back to her more convincing. I don't mean to generalize, but I find that indian drams have a tendency to make drastic characters; either too goody goody or too negative... most of the times even the "gray" characters end up being totally evil. I guess it builds the excitement as we hate the Villain and love the leads.

I suppose, Sarika's character was suddenly introduced in the current track as Vikram needs to confront his past and its necessary he gets to know the absolute truth about Sarika's conniving and oppotunist nature. so that he won't have any regrets and fears about his past. Also, it'll be easier for him to forget such woman ever existed in his life and without any inhibitions. He too has to move on now 😊

Couldn't agree more! This is the one really sour/off note in this show. Ajay-Tarun are also OTT but Sarika is in a whole other league. I also find that making Sarika Samarth's sister is bizarre! Well, let's keep all the villains in one family, eh?!

This is always the problem with Hindi soaps. OTTness on steroids. This is in contrast to the totally realistic and honest relationship between Vikram and Shobha. Two normal adults who can say what they think/feel without constraint and expect not to be misunderstood.

So far I've just been forwarding through the Sarika scenes. The day Vikram and Shobha go all Hindi drama on us - you know, sacrifice, lies, mahaanta blah blah blah...that's the day I stop watching.

I'm hoping that day never comes! (famous last words!)

Or, this character may draw wedge between Vikram and Shobha.
Shobha believes that Sarika is a bechari woman etc. But Vikram may not get fooled by Sarika. (One example is, when he found out her cough). But if he says that to Shobha, she might not believe him. She might consider, he is just doubting Sarika because of his past experience. The track can introduce unnecessary misunderstandings between ViBha, till Shobha finds out the truth.
