Its like Sahir goes into a trance when he sees Zeenat or even thinks about her.

I don't think it is her he remembers - some event(s) happened with him and her and the painful/shocking emotions it made him feel when these events happened were so traumatic, the emotions and beliefs got frozen in him.

Everytime time he is reminded of Zeenat, he gets triggered and it is like he is reliving the events and khudka kaboo kho deta hai.

When he is in these situations he doesn't think rationally or logically - case in point what he is willing to do be right about the 1000 crore and his recent conversation with Rehman.

That being said, Sahir portrayed this phenomenon amazingly

Yes.. Today Sahir realized when zaki was talking that he actually feels for Arzoo.. The realization that he sees her when he closes his eyes... Her smile captivates him... She is the one his heart wants.. All that zaki said was felt by Sahir!

She is the person he sees in his future..

And wow! What a portrayal by HC..

That gripping of the crystal vase... Controlling his feelings... Closing his eyes to experience what he has been denying all this while... He was lost in his world..

And was brought back with the ringing of the phone! The past was calling.. The unresolved past... Calling him urgently...

And what an entry into Zeenats room... Wah! His assertion to Zeenat that he will not lose... The clenched teeth.. The helplessness.. The hurt... The inability to stop caring... The vulnerability.. It was all there... Again HC rocked!

His restless walk.. Looking at zeenat blinking... Thinking about what the doctor said about taking zeenat to New York.. The desperation was so clear... He was even willing to give in to rehman financial terms... But rehman wants a marriage or no deal!

This scene... The flickering of the eyes each time zeenat blinked.. Almost flinching at the thought that she might wake up... The desperate pacing... And the anger taking over in the end... That was truly rocking!

Sahirs present is totally entrapped between the betrayal of the past and the dwindling hope of a better future

He internalized his own feelings only to face the reality that his brother was telling him he loved Arzoo.. And that meant he couldn't get over his past by getting the deal done... And.. There was no future he could envisage either

HC made Sahirs feelings really come to the fore in each of these scenes...
