I haven't seen Haider, Khoobsurat, or Mary Kom yet so can't really comment on those.

Though WTH...why is SRK even an option as a best actor for HNY and why is HNY an option for best film?!?!? I loved HNY...thought it was really entertaining, albeit stupid. BUT no way does it deserve any of the (predicted) accolades in the form of awards. Thank god DP's name isn't there as a potential nomination for best acress for the same.

That being said, Salman's performance in Kick isn't award-worthy at all and neither is Arjun's in 2 States. These two films shouldn't even be nominated in the best film category.

It indeed looks like 2014 has been a mediocre to below average year for Bollywood films in general. 😳

PK is still to release!

Major award functions like Zee, Screen and Filmfare have been held yet. PK will in most probability take all awards fro Best film, best director!

Best Actress category seems to be tough this year!

Its not about PC being selfish but expectations. When you hear people saying to you 'you deserve all awards', 'you were best' , 'you will win NA', you tend to build up huge expectations! You tend to believe, you can win! Thats what had happened to her during Barfi (when she deserved) and same is happening to her now! She gets affected to soon :/

Anyways now I am also feeling she will not win! But still there is hope :(

Side Note - If Alia has to win (I feel she shouldn't be considered), then give it to her for 2 States!

Khoobsurat in my opinion was a better film than 2 States and HTP. I think 2 States deserves to be nominated as best film. I don't know..it was a boring film..but it wasn't as mediocre as say HNY or Kick. 2 Stated had a decent script and story to tell..was just lacking the entertainment factor.

Am also questioning Pari being nominated for HTP. She was prettymediocre in the film.

Shahid does care about awards!!..every actor wants to be awarded...the ones who say they don't want one are saying because they have been disillusioned by the politics involved..which have turned the awards into a joke!...😆...I have not seen Shahid become cynical even though he has been cheated out and sidelined many many times!..he just keeps after the positives...Really hoping he gets acknowledged by all the awards and he does not have enough space to display all of them!...😆
