Blast from the past : Cezanne Khan shooting for YHM but was he destined to play the role of Raman Bhalla?

Star Plus popular show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein produced by Balaji Telefilms which is based on Manju Kapoor's famous novel - Custody was initially supposed to showcase Cezanne Khan of Kasautii Zindagii Kay fame opposite Divyanka Tripathi. After shooting several episodes, continuous delays and shuffling Cezanne who had apparently shot some portions of YHM left the show.
The actor was replaced by the dashing and very talented Karan Patel who is currently seen essaying Raman Kumar Bhalla, a character that has gained the stature of being iconic on Indian Television thanks to Karan's portrayal of the same.
However we came across some unseen pics of the show during it's earlier shooting days... Have a look!
A famous celebrity once said that "An actor does not choose a role but a role chooses the actor" and looks like Karan was always meant to play Raman. They also say Everything happens for a reason' and that Destiny has a way of finding you' and here it did.
Karan's improvised one liners, the attitude and zeal with which Karan essays the role of Raman that can give some of the well established actors in TV and Bollywood a run for their money and the ability to carry off any emotion and interpret scenes with ease and perfection is what makes Karan apt for the role and we are sure that the viewers would agree with us when we thank the czarina of TV Ekta for this exceptionally wonderful casting.
