Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has broken his silence with a cryptic post on Instagram after his former wife Dhanashree Verma spoke publicly for the first time about their separation.
The choreographer-actor, in a recent podcast, reflected on the collapse of their five-year marriage, the emotional toll of the courtroom proceedings, and the public criticism she faced. Dhanashree recalled the day of the verdict, describing how she “started howling and crying in front of everybody” despite preparing herself mentally for the decision. She also addressed the much-talked-about “Be your own sugar daddy” T-shirt that Chahal was spotted wearing outside court. “Are bhai, WhatsApp kar deta. T-shirt kyu pehna hai?” she remarked, adding that she herself had worn something simple to avoid drawing attention.
Soon after the interview went viral, Chahal posted his first update since the conversation. From Kirkstone Pass in England, he shared a series of photographs posing against a mountain backdrop. In one, his arms are stretched wide, while others capture him quietly gazing into the distance. What drew the most attention was his caption: “Million feelings, Zero words.”

It was that shaky moment, especially when you know people will blame you only,” she said.
Chahal and Dhanashree first connected during the 2020 lockdown through online dance classes. Their relationship quickly grew, and by December that year, they were married in a traditional ceremony in Gurgaon. However, by early 2025, they were seen outside Bandra Family Court, where they filed for divorce by mutual consent. The Mumbai court later granted them a decree, officially ending their marriage.
While both have now spoken in their own ways—Dhanashree with candid words and Chahal with a quiet post—their separation continues to attract close public scrutiny.

Dhanashree recalled breaking down in court, reacting to Chahal’s “sugar daddy” T-shirt, and addressing trolling. Their five-year marriage ended in February 2025, with a Mumbai court granting divorce by mutual consent.
