ANUSHKA SHARMA MISPLACED THE BANARASI SILK SAREE HER CO- STAR AAMIR KHAN GIFTED HER WHILE TOURING DIFFERENT CITIES FOR PROMOTING UPCOMING FILM PK

Aamir Khan seems to have developed a habit of gifting his co- stars Banarasi silk sarees as a token of appreciation specially after his film 3 Idiots when he had gifted a black Banarasi silk saree to his then co- star Kareena Kapoor Khan. This time around Aamir gifted a Banarasi saree to his PK costar Anushka Sharma but the actress couldn't wear the saree. Why? Unfortunately, the actress has misplaced most of her stuff including Aamir's gift while travelling for city tours.

A source close to the actress informs that Anushka has misplaced the saree while travelling where she realised most of her stuff got misplaced.

" Aamir, who recently visited Banaras to promote his forthcoming film PK purchased a saree from there for his co- star Anushka. After going through a huge collection of sarees, he shortlisted one. In fact, he spent about an hour selecting his favourite saree. The actors have been travelling for city tours and meeting various people for PK's promotional activities. They are contestably moving from one city to another. However, most of their baggage has been misplaced. The actress was disappointed when she got to know that the Banarasi saree that Aamir gifted to her went missing with her other stuff as she was looking forward to wear it. Aamir too got disappointed when he got to know about it as he specially selected the saree for Anushka," the source says.

The source further adds that Anushka was overwhelmed by Aamir's gift and wanted to wear it for one of the important occasions. " The team of PK including Anushka, Aamir and Rajkumar Hirani have been on a nine city tour and almost travelled half of the cities. They stayed in several hotels during the promotions. They tried to find out by informing and inquiring in all the hotels they stayed. Aamir was disheartened that they were unable to find the saree," the source adds.

When contacted, the film's spokesperson confirmed the news, " Aamir had specially purchased the saree for Anushka. It is extremely unfortunate that they got misplaced because Anushka too was really looking forward to wearing the saree."
