Rachna Parulkar: Cordial ties with costars help in great screen chemistry
She became a household name as Kalpi in the daily soap 'Ek Mutthi Aasmaan'. Rachna Parulkar was in news again when she was replaced overnight in the show. The actress, who chose not to comment about it, is now essaying the role of Ajabde in 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra -Maharana Pratap'. In Ahmedabad recently , Rachna said, "Shooting for a historical drama is difficult -it takes very long to get ready. The first week was tough, but now it's become a habit and I love it."
The actress, a trained dancer who studied English literature, says, "I wanted to be an actor since childhood, but I wanted to complete my education first. When people see a well-read actor, their perception towards that person changes. Education has shaped my personality and made me unafraid of the camera."
Rachna, who found a great friend in co star Ashish Choudhary, says, "Ashish and I are great buddies." She adds, "Ssharad (Malhotra) is also very helpful as a co star. He is very caring and looks after people on the sets. I think it is important for co stars to share a cordial bond. I am not saying they have to be best friends; but there has to be a certain comfort level which reflects in their screen chemistry."
