Roshan walks out of Vishal Bhardwaj's English film with Hollywood beauty Uma Thurman

What's in it for me? Hrithik Roshan

This would have been his first international project, but Hrithik Roshan was not satisfied with his role in Vishal Bhardwaj's untitled English flick and so turned it down.

Vishal was planning to make a film with Hrithik and Hollywood actress Uma Thurman (Kill Bill) in the lead. The film is being produced by UTV and Vishal insisted on having Hrithik with Uma.

Our source says, "Hrithik was delighted that Vishal wanted to work with him, but he wanted Vishal to develop the script and wanted a complete narration."

Meaty roles only

After the first narration, Hrithik was not too happy with his role. "He has given two blockbusters last year. After Krrish and Dhoom:2, he didn't want to do a film where Thurman would hog the limelight.

He understood that the producer and the director would like to use Uma as she is an international star. Moreover, he would have to postpone the shooting of papa Roshan's Krrish 3 for the project," says a source.

Hrithik has become extremely choosy about his films. It is heard that he asked Zoya Akhtar to revise the script of Kismet Talkies, then turned it down along with Rakeysh Mehra's Dilli 6 and now Vishal's film.

No hard feelings

Bhardwaj says he had a few 'sessions' with Hrithik but hasn't taken offence to his turn-down, adding, "Hrithik is no more a part of this film. The role was not substantial enough for him so we parted amicably."
The grapevine has it that Vishal might now take the project to his old favourite, Ajay Devgan.

Vishal adds that the film has not been shelved. "We are waiting for Uma to revert with her dates and will then start looking for an actor to star opposite her."

I don't see why should he accept a small role in a women-oriented film. I'm sure he will get something bigger and better.

i don't think vishal would give a small role. But Hrithik might want all the limelight, like he got for krrish and dhoom 2, koi mil gaya, kaho na pyar hai. where the female has no role.

I don't think any actor would sign a movie where the female star would over-shadow him...i dont blame Hrithik...he's on the top right now and one bad film can bring him down

I don't think small role could damage your career. But hero having negative role can. Hrithik should had agreed and took as a challenge. Then we could see how talented actor he is if other actress actually has a role.

😆 😆 LOL yeah Hrithik want the limelight to himself.

Oh well, Uma is too old looking for him 🤢 And I don't think she's beauty at all. My opinion.

Why everyone want to enter hollywood after Aish? 😕

Maybe Hrithik didn't find the role challenging enough ... He always liked a bit of a challenge! But I think Uma is gorgeous! It woulda been interesting to see em together
