Talent in II3 no comparison...

no offense to anyone over here, but when u see the amazing talent in saregamapa and star voice of india, the people in indian idol look pathetic in comparison... i watch indian idol n enjoy it, but last year the show had REAL talent.. this year, while many people insist that the talent is the best this season, i completely disagree.. so many people this year say that they tried out last year.. why do you think they didnt get in last season n got in this season? not because they miraculously improved in a year, but because the standard has been sadly lowered this season.. last season, we saw the talents of trained singers like amey, karunya, meenal... this season, the only person who truly deserves to be here is emon, who is by far the best singer... i hate the fact that because of this lowered standard of singing, people like ANKITA, who is a mediocre singer at her best, whose main attribute is that she performs enthusiastically, are being given so much hype and praise.. ankita wouldn't have even cleared the galas last season, and this season shes a likely candidate for the 3rd Indian Idol! its so ridiculous, it almost makes me laugh... look at SVOI, where u might have your favourites, but u cannot deny that each and every singer is amazing and 99 % of them are trained. Saregamapa.. the talents of Amanat Ali, Raja etc. are flawlessly brilliant. and i just read about someone comparing Amit to Amanat.. amit is the clear best after emon this season, but cmon, comparing amanat n amit??? im really sorry if i offended anyone, i dont mean to criticise any contestants.. i also believe the judges are to blame.. they cant seem to tell the bad performances from the good.. we need SONU BACK!!! sorry for ranting so much, just got really pissed off lol... please dont reply if u have to curse me or shout at me.. reply if u have something to add, something thought provoking and helpful! thnx..

So many people..so many people..hates Ankita..its like Ankita ka jaadu puri duniya pe cha rahan hain ..kuch bhi kaho..Ankita has got that charisma.

17 saal ki ladki ne kya jaadu kiya hain logon pe..whether we hate her or love her.

what makes ankita mediocre? (the fact that she's popular with the judges???) I think ankita's singing is awesome.

ok last year on SRGMP...debojit won (that's all I have to say about that...even though this years contestants are good)

and amit is such a good singer...I dunno about this amaanat guy but you can't say emon is the only one with talent this season.

you mentioned ankita so I responded about that...


of last year's contestants I only really liked antara and karunya but there were plenty bad singers last time as well (i won't say any names because obviously people will not be too happy about it)

Hats off to you for bringing this up! I would have to completely agree with you.

Look, I really think that its the fault of judges that they looked at some 30,000 possible contestants and in the bottom line chose 6 boys and 7 girls among them 75% are below the age of 20!!

Again, its not the contestants fault. Its the judges fault that they chose immature voices which cannot be playback singers right away.

If Sonu Nigam was a judge he would be banging his head on the wall with this group of singers. Except for Amit and Abhishek and may be Prashant, none has a crisp, mature voice that is ready to handle a 1 crore rupee album.

The judges know it and thats the sole reason why the 'piano rounds' this year was converted into a full band-music round. Had these 18 year olds sung with only a piano, there voices would've been exposed bigtime on national TV and the reputation of II gone down the drain.

On the other hand SRMP and SVOI have some bumper singers..

Aneek, Abhas, Irfan, Toshi, Raja, Supriya, Mauli, Arshpreet, Junaid, Amanat, Joy... they are much superior singers. Some are definitely better than Amit and Prashant

Sony should just award Amit the II3 otherwise its reputation is tainted bigtime.

I agree...even though there are talents like amit,emon,deepali and even ankita I think SRGMP is doin respectively better in grooming talents and actually searchin the perfect candidate to compete...the bar is so high tehre...here u can say well amit has to win he has the best voice or emon...or ankita...in srgmp there is no 2 3 winner it could b anyone...tats how tough the competition is...but I still like II its fun!

Another thing is that in SRGM and SVOI the singers have to sing full 5 minute song truly displaying their talents. II singers are only singing 2 minutes most.

I mean, really II has to become competitive. I am saying this only because I like II and I want it to succeed. The program is really losing its competitive edge because the format is too easy and kids are singing.
