I was listening to some of the C2005 participant songs and listened to Himani's Oopar Khuda and then listened to Raja's song.. I have an opinion, but will not put that now 😉 But definitely would want to know if you all also think what I think.. For those who have not heard Himani's - Here is the link..

Please give an unbiased opinion 😳

Himani's song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViMvGtDeOD4

Raja's song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1Gd2SgdjiE

(P.S: This is not comparing singers of two different shows, but of the same show and different season)

Nice poll, Anu 👏
First of all I agree with what Jadoobhai has to say..its a bit difficult to compare a male and female version of the same song..

For one thing, Himani's pitch is lower than Raja's. He has added a few murkhis (vibratos) here and there, and this song really suits his voice. Like any other song, he has made this song his own and sung it beautifully.

Himani has also sung the song excellently and flawlessly..the one thing I wud say thats slightly lesser in Himani's version wud be the emotion than Raja's.

I liked both of them, but somehow I liked listening to this song better in Raja's voice..bohot doobke dil se gaaya hai.. 👏 👏 👏

I know its very difficult to compare and thats why thought of it 100 times before making the poll as to if its possible.. But when i came to a conclusion, i did make the poll

First of all coming to point which Jadoo bhaiyah made - Raja had added more murkhis in his version.. that is why the difference..

And about Himani's nasal twang - Really i couldnot find the nasal twang 🤔 after reading ur post, i went again and checked the song, but seriously i couldnot find it..

About the feeling that was brought into the song - you and Dhruvieji pointed out that Raja ne doobke gaaya and his wordings were much clear.. For that matter, Himani's wordings were also much much clear for me.. And the mood of sadness was brought in by Himani much better than Raja.. If you notice while singing the high notes while giving a finishing touch to each line, Raja went a little flat.. It cannot be much noticed, but when you listen carefully that actually affected the continuity of the song.. He was putting too much stress on each words and it was as if he is singing the song with great difficulty while that was not the case in Himani's, She sang with ease without much putting stress on her throat which made her sound better and also give a good finishing touch to the song..

Both were good - but these little points, made Himani sound better to give a finishing touch is what is my opinion.. 😊

Himani - no doubt. Her voice is so effortless and smooth. Very soothing.

Himani and Raja are very different. Himani is good in soulful melodious.

Without a doubt Himani -

Raja is not very solid at the low parts of the song (near ... tu aaya na aayi khabar ....). Also his smiling at a lot of times during the song just annoys and takes away from the emotion of the song. I also think that Himani's singing was much more heartfelt and Raja's extremely superficial !!

Oh God, Himani's the best. There was a certain sadness as well as sweetness in her voice. I felt like listening to her version again & again after it was over.
