@ ArjaAddict I agree with you.
YHM is the only Indian show I'm currently watching. Tried a couple during the year. One started really went, then went into drama overload n was shut down recently. 2nd one - I'd rather not comment. It's still on but an epic disaster IMHO.
Prob is that CVs & TV producers in India think that only drama sell. Doesn't matter what kind of drama - illogical, senseless, immoral etc. They think these tracks attract audiences. I personally find a flaw with this logic. How does a show become popular? Popular in terms of being a brand, having an international presence n internet activity? Well, it starts with us. The internet audience; the ones who are active on forums, vote for the awards, talk about the show with our friends. We make the show famous. TRP audience just sits through the daily episodes coz it's their routine!!! They become attached to one character, identify with someone like Mahan ishita and they stick to the show. Producers think that their show is doing really well. Meanwhile, the initial audience has given up n simply moved on n most of the time, it's almost impossible to regain back this audience. Coz most of us are educated n we want a balanced life. Who has the time to sit through a daily torture for 21 minutes???
All of us here are sticking to the show coz we are in love with Ishra. What a fab couple, portrayed by marvellous actors. We are so crazy that we sat through most of the ridiculous tracks thrown at us lately. But CVs, till when will this last? 😊
Take a show like friends. It ran for 10 seasons, and if you ask me about one negative character in the show, nothing comes to mind. It was just fun. Why can't we get such cleans shows? Why do the leads have to be separated, get married twice/thrice etc?
I personally think that the CVs of YHM are very clever. They show us crap and in a way, they'll admit to it on the show itself. Mihika incident for e.g : Ishita and Raman had the same questions as us. Most of us couldn't understand why Raman was silent during the Mihika fiasco. Next episode, Raman himself is explaining his silence to Mihika. The CVs are clever, they understand emotions but for some reason, they are letting the TRP game get to their heads.
YHM is supposed to be different. Ekta, please have the guts to be different. Break away from the formulas and give us a daily dose of pure happiness. Happiness also sells. All of us here are committed to Ishra and Ruhi. And since we love the show so much, we'll even accept the logical dramas.
See, it's a win-win situation 😆
