LOTR, Deathly Hallows 2, and Skyfall are the good movies in that list.

Well, I'm a big fan of Titanic, so put that in there too.

The rest like Transformers, Iron Man 3, and Avengers, I didn't like much. Gimmicky stuff.

And Avatar is basically the sci-fi version of Dance of the Wolves.

If we're really to compare it to Bollywood, the disparity of resources notwithstanding, of course Avatar trumps the lousy Dhoom 3. Bollywood's top-10, in terms of collections, includes D3, Kick, CE, 3I, ETT, YJHD, HNY, K3, Dabbang 2, and BG.

From that lot, none of the movies are great. 3I is the best from the list followed by probably ETT but it's pretty poor.

I think it's unfair to compare Hollywood's blockbusters to Bollywood blockbusters. The society, culture, economy, and audiences all vary.

Gone with the wind was highest grossing movie I guess (if you adjust the ticket price n all) still I m not sure.

John Cameron took so many years to make the avatar but the problem with ot was poor script.
I liked Inception, deathly hallows, frozen,avengers from the list. Amd of course Titanic my all time favourite 😳
Even the shittiest movies in this list are better than d3

big difference between hollywood and bollywood commercial movies! most of the movies in list have good story, good humor and feel good vibe like Frozen, Titanic, Alice in wonderland etc!
and also the lead heroines dont do item numbers in them!
From recent times I liked only hasee toh phasee and Khubsoorat from BW

Many of them don't have superstars in it and director is the bigger selling point for some. Anyways, Fantasy, Animation and Sci-Fi are the genres that scores big in HW worldwide. Many of them are quality movies. Love LOTR & TDK. Avatar was one time watch due to visual effects.
