OK so shuru se hi I have been hearing a LOT of ppl say stuff like:
"Kya tum log ... kya dekhte rehte ho.. jab dekho ppl are trying to kisss each other. Its just a few random HAWT scenes stiched together ! KYA rakha hai iss show mein ?".
I never really bothered to answer these ppl because mamma taught me not to argue with idiots unless I wanna risk falling down to their level.
But I think AAJ jo screen pe hua ... was answer enough.
I swear gimme such punches over sappy/hawt romance ANYDAY.
How AWSOME was it that Nandu figured it all by herself without other ppl having to hold her hand and show her the sahi DISHA (Pun OBVIOUSLY intended 🤣) ???
For the first time in MANY years, we FINALLY have a heroine who has BRAINS, and STONES to match - "When was the last time we saw a desi female character kick THIS much ass ?" as my friend Anu perfectly put. Seriously , WHEN was the last time we saw LOGIC, legit BALLS and SASS take the baton over from ishq wala Louuu on Indian television and be the hero ?
That thing MeriMarzi called seduction (Duuudeee !! W*F !?😆) ? That was NOT seduction from ANY angle. It was .. sheer brilliance. Nandu knows Manik jaise stubborn gadhay se baaaton mein woh jeet nahin payegi. So she confronted him in the BEST possible way. Laathon se. Cuz Baba be all action, Hindi mein bolay toh .. LAATHON KA BHOOT !!! Dont you just LOVE how ussne Manik ke aankhon mein ungli daal ke dikhaa di .. ke just WHAT and HOW much he feels for her ? And then the PUNCH. I know we have all talked about life coming full circle KAHI dafa is show ke run ke dowraaan , but today had to be one of the FINEST examples of it.
"Our story ends here today, not from a punch to a kiss, but from a Punch to a punch"
It was not a statement Nandini made to counter Manik's From punch to kiss taunt. It was Nandu making the statement that NOBODY but her decides what she wants to do with her life. SHE is the maker of her own fate, not His Royal Highness Manik Asshotra. That Manik DOESN'T get to decide what she wishes to do with her heart ... I don't think it could have been said in a better way. Nandu, you go girl. Also I LOVED how CALM she was while asking Manik whether he'd drive her away the same way had he not known about Dhruv's feelings, no dramatic , hysteric haath payr maar ke accentuate karna. Just plain, simple and starightforward.
And the best part was that all that was not ENTIRELY an act for Nandu. She was very much IN the moment too, you could see it in her eyes and in that soft smile when she leant towards him and placed her head on his shoulder. BUT the MOMENT Manik answered her question that all this was INDEED for Dhruv , all the suppressed heartache, frustration , gussa and finally RELIEF, welled up within her. It was like Manik's answer opened a flood gate of emotions within her. AND BOOM. And I think what made her EVEN more mad that Manik ne ITNI asaaani se sach ugal diya. Like all this time she was SO heartbroken, SO upset and thinking up all sorts of COMPLICATED scenarios in her head... and just cuz the Gadha was in his trance, the words fell off his lips SO easy.(There's this TRANCE that he ALWAYS goes into, when he's REALLY looking into her eyes, Exhibit A

I know a lot of ppl be taking the mickey out of Dhruv and Alya ... but I swear I loved what happened here. Because of sheer CONTRAST between Dhruv's equation with Alya and Dhruv's equation with Nandu. While Nandini is the PERFECT picture in Dhruv's mind, Alya is his SERENDIPITY. And love is NEVER perfect ... which is why Dhruv, while IDOLIZING Nandu in his mind, ended up with Alya, someone he shares such GREAT rapport and comfort level with. Nandini ke liye jahaan apne feeelings ZABAAN pe laanay ko usne ITNA time laga , Alya ke saath there wasn't a moment's delay ! Because what is meant to be , is meant to be, and WILL happen when the time is right ! All this time we were berating Dhruv for being such a kora kaagaz and upar ka maala khali and all ... and for being SO f**kING SLOW, but now I get it. Manik probably intimidates him with his Maniky air, Nandu overwhelms him, Mukti mollycoddles him and Cabir just plain and simple makes fun of him. But Alya just lets him be. She gives advice and helps but doesn't push him too hard. She's just out there somewhere, giving him his space but watching over him and having his back. The reason why he is moving SO fast with Alya once he starts feeling things, is because how comfortable he feels around her. And both have been holding on to the idea of the PERFECT love story with the wrong person for far too long , in a way of extrapolation, they are also soulmates of sorts ! Two confused, lost and hurt teenagers, bhatkoing idhar udhar in the wrong raasta, until they find kindred spirits in each other. To me the DhruLya kiss was NOT sudden. No ... it was just good things falling into place on their own pace. Granted his realization was rather hormone-driven 😆 but chalo, all's well that ends well 😳.
And just cuz I am me and HAVE to end this on a LULz note... You know how ppl say Manik and Dhruv are SO different ? GHANTA different, ALL boys are the same, 24/7 worked up HORNDOGS 😆. Remember Manik's line after Nandu asked him what's his response be if she acquiesces to his demands of the 'humesha' promises ? He said he wouldn't waste another single moment TALKING. And what does Dhruv's sudden making out with Alya remind you of today 😆? Yes, BINGO 😆
And the KKHH bit ? Cliche as it was, I LOVED it, PERIOD. Why you ask ? Because whatever the premises, Dhruv now has a thing with Alya and REALIZES (unlike Gadha Asshotra), ke his actions (hugging Nandu) might hurt the girl he just kissed.
Way to Man up, Dhruv 👏
But then in the next minute it became SOOOPER Lulz cuz of the way he dropped Alya like a hot potato when Manik showed up 🤣 But then that was prolly cuz usne Manik ko ITNA bhashan diya about not spoiling his thing with Nandu and there he was , all healed up from Nandu's rejection.. happily kissing MANIK's ex 😆
I am a happy happy fan today.🥳
P.S: Oh and how great was it that aaj Navya aur Harshad kahin door door take dikhai nahin diye ? 🤣
