It was just another sunny day during the summer and a little girl, named Meli, was out at the park. She was waiting for her friend to come as they had promised to meet.
Though the park was empty earlier, it was starting to fill up with so many people. Meli had no idea why though. She assumed that some event was going to happen, though she wasn't sure what.
A few ladies were standing in front of her and chattering away about the event.
Lady #1: I can't believe he's coming. This is unbelievable!
Lady #: I know right! Plus these sportsmen are so dreamy to look at with their toned muscles!
From the conversation Meli understood that some sports celebrity was arriving at the park, but she couldn't understand whom.
Suddenly, she saw the people rush towards the north end of the park. She turned to see what was happening there, and that's when she noticed that a limo had arrived with several other cars as well. Curiosity got the best of her, and now Meli wanted to see whom the sports star was.
She was just about to start running in that direction, when she saw the vehicles leaving the area. The crowd also looked disappointed for some reason. Unfortunately for Meli, she had missed the opportunity. But being the determined person Meli was, she didn't get upset over it.
Meli: One day I'll get to meet my favourite sportsman for sure. This isn't just a wish, but it's a fact!
** Many Years Later **
Meli: Okay ... Okay ... I can't wait! Thank you for this!
Meli put the phone down and started running around the living room in excitement. Radha, Deepz and Tanu, who were resting on the couch, were shocked by this action of hers. Furthermore, Jot, Hinaa and Naina had walked into the apartment at the exact moment when Meli started running.
Radha: What's going on? Why are you running around?
Meli didn't stop though. She was way too excited after that phone call. Having no other option, Deepz got up and caught hold of her.
Deepz: Arey, at least tell us what is going on!
Meli: Guess what?!
Jot: Well we'll only know if you tell us!
Meli: I WON! I WON! I won the -
Naina : the lottery?
Tanu: Oh my God, can you get me a new pet cat?
Everyone turned around with a shocked expression at what Tanu had said.
Tanu: Whaaat?! I love cats.
Jot: Right. Meli, please tell what's going on.
Seeing that everyone was anxious to know what was happening, Meli finally decided to reveal it.
Meli: I won a date with a sports star!
Radha: Really?! Who?
Meli: I don't know!
Deepz: What do you mean you don't know?
Meli: It's supposed to be one of those blind dates.
Hina: Are you sure it's not some sort of scam?
Tanu: Yeah! I know some scammers tricked Hina last month! She was so upset!
Meli: No no it's not a scam! It's for real!
Jot: Oh come on Melz, these things don't work.
Tannu: Actually it did work for Yuvi. She did get to meet her favourite star once.
Meli: Exactly! And just like that I'm going to meet a sportsman at last.
Naina: So you are meeting Mahesh.. omg how exciting... Meli can I go as your proxy please .. pretty please..
Deepz: pulling Naina away from Meli... Naina ..nap out of your dreams, Mahesh sporstman kaadu ra,
Hina : *filing her nails* why can't that be a sportswoman like... urm whoever ..
Meli: Because it's a blind date!
Radha: Do you have any idea who this is supposed to be? I'm a bit concerned here.
Meli: It's nothing to worry about really. The lady I was on the phone with is Shruti. She organizes many sports-related fundraisers and she has contacts with many famous sports stars. I had entered a draw at one of her fundraisers to win a date with one of them. And my luck has shined! I won!
Tanu: As long as you're okay with this, I guess we all should be fine.
Though the others weren't completely sure about this, they were happy for Meli regardless of how sketchy this whole thing sounded. They just wanted the best for their friend.
The date was scheduled for the following Saturday, which meant that there were still two days left. Meli couldn't contain her excitement at all. Even when at night, all she could dream about was Saturday.
Meli was waiting at Starbucks, wishing and hoping Dhoni to be her blind date.
Few minutes later, Dhoni is standing right before her, with flowers and chocolates, she stares at him when he was talking to her, her smile widens seeing him standing right before her ... she was about to hug him in excitement !!
"Maam, watch out ...the coffee is hot... " steps back the waiter, Melz who realizes her inception mode is embarrassed and apologizes to the waiter and looks around.
Minutes later, Shruti has texted her about Neymar Jr being her blind date, Meli was beyond excited , with butterflies in her stomach and nervousness, she is anxiously waiting in the same cafe.
Neymar locks eyes with her from distance, Meli is awestruck seeing him, unbelievable sight for her to see him, her heart is beating faster, she makes way past the tables and finally reaches him, he gives him his trademark smile and gifts her the flowers and chocolates which he got for her . People were awestruck at the beautiful scenario and started clicking her pictures.
Meli, extends her hand towards Neymar, "autograph please"
"Maam your car..."
"Meli"
"No maam, your mini cooper is parked in the wrong slot, it has to be moved right away else we will tow away ..."
"NOO ...My mini cooper, Dhoni,. Neymar"... Meli wakes up in her bedroom with a panic of loosing most precious to her
She had been dreaming all day about her blind date . With 100s of dreams of meeting her favorites she went to bed hence these inceptions .
Two days later Shruti, herself takes Meli to the fixed venue and leads her to the table where a guy (her blind date) is about to turn ...

Gur: gosh what was this it's definitely not a cover story , but a script
Jillu : Aahaana never gave us the whole thing how and what are we to do now 😕 gosh I need my coffee
Munni : I think our interns messed it up, there was a section where our reporter did candid interview with Aahaana and pictures were professionally shot for the cover page .. I think they gave us a wrong file
Gurcalls up the interns, and lashes out at them for spilling the coffee over the cover story file and the entire transcripts and pictures got caffeinated 😡
On seeing Gur's furious face, one of the intern dares to give the remaining part of the story, which are presumably from pages of Meli's diary, where she wrote on her birthday a year ago.
Munni snatches it from Gur and gets annoyed as how to put this up as cover story ..
Jillu: wait girls relax...I know what we can do ..since it is birthday special edition, we will use this pages from her dairy as her story...
