Hey Dear.
Your hurt at a person you love being criticised for no fault of hers is understandable.
Me being a massive football fan have silently suffered with my favourite footballer being criticised, made fun of & mocked at & that too when he was adjudged the best footballer in the world just 3 years ago & now that he got injured & is not able to play at that high level is being made fun of.
Let me tell you something about him.Apart from being the best footballer around,he is considered one of the nicest sportspersons around.Called the boy with the golden heart, his integrity in personal & professional life has made him the role model of millions of people across the globe.Hailed by the media as "The only nice guy in the bad world of sports" says volumes about his character.
Apart from that his dedication, his commitment to the game,to his country is commendable.Very few sportspersons possess that quality. With football being played at club & national level, many players content with the millions they earn for the clubs choose not to represent their country at the national level, some even go to the extent of faking injuries to avoid playing for the country,so that they remain fit enough to represent their club. With such players rampant, the player I am talking about decided to play in thw World Cup 2010,despite having an injury. He was then the biggest player of his country & also the biggest player in the world. That showed his dedication, his commitment to the game,to his country. His team might have lost but he earned the respect of millions of people.
But the injury got worse because he chose to play while injured. His club coach reprimanded him for taking such a risk.He could never recover completely from the injury. The coach & the club didnt help matters.Sidelined him for 3 years, while he silently watched his career collapsing. Then the club fans started talking bad about him because he then was the 2nd most expensive footballer in the world & that he was earning that much without playing. He stayed on,he fought for his place & never had a bad thing to say about the coach or the club even when as per some reports the coach clearly tried to sabotage his career. That act of his earned the respect of millions of fans.He might not be the biggest sportsperson he used to be but he has the respect & the love of me,my brother, everyone in my family.
Sorry for assailing you with this essay about my idol but what I was trying to say is there are as many levels of mentality as there are people. No people think the same,no people have thesame sets of views, same set of value systems they believe in.Over the times I realised I shouldnt be hurt by what others have to say because I know what's what,I know the kind of person he is & that someone saying bad things about him doesn't change the fact that he is a wonderful person.
Everyday I would read foul comments about him & would cry for days but then eventually you learn not to pay heed to everyone. Not everyone's opinion matters. You know the truth & that's not going to change for anything in the world.Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you have to learn whose opinion you need to value.
Fandoms clashing with one another is not new & it gets more vicious when it comes to sports, with people getting seriously injured, sometimes getting killed even.More recently a fan got stabbed by the rival team suporters right then & there in the stands. It's very difficult to be neutral & have a balanced point of view in the heat of things.
I don't know much about Asha but from what I have seen of her,she comes across as a very nice person. She being blamed for taking up Rachana's role was unfortunate.People need to understand that it's the channel that decides upon the casting. She getting along well with Ashish is great because Ashish happens to be a really wonderful person.I am happy to know they are friends.
I would say again it's not going to be easy, but then once you learn it's gonna be much better.
That's all I wanted to say.
