I got this idea after watching the movie Vaazha2 where Hashir broke up with Shyna.

Ranbir and Prachi are 12th std students who are lovers.They were happy in their small world.

But the board exam results shattered everything.

Prachi had scored exceptionally well while Ranbir had failed.

The entire school whispered about it. Some mocked him openly while others pitied Prachi saying that she was wasting her future on someone like him.

Ranbir's heart was broken.

Ranbir and Prachi met at the park.Seeing him Prachi embraced Ranbir from behind.Ranbir smiled.

Suddenly his smiled vanished and moved away from Prachi.

Ranbir told Prachi painfully:We should break up.

Prachi stared at him in disbelief: What?

Ranbir:You deserve someone better...Someone successful..Someone intelligent. Not someone who failed twelfth boards.

Tears filled Prachi’s eyes.

Prachi:Ranbir, don't be upset about your marks.You can pass the 12th STD exam after writing the re-examination.

Ranbir:I don't have the capacity to study more Prachi.I am not brilliant enough to grasp science and Maths.So I won’t even pass the re-examination.I have no future, Prachi.

She stepped closer and held his hand tightly.

Prachi:Then we will build your future together.

They looked at each other tearfully.

But Ranbir slowly removed her hand from his.

Ranbir:No,I can’t become the reason your life gets ruined.Run away from me and escape Prachi.

Prachi shed tears.

Before Prachi could stop him, he walked away.

That night, both of them cried thinking of each other.

Years passed.

Prachi became a successful engineer working in one of the top firms in Mumbai.

Her mother Pragya was proud of her.

Pragya:Earlier you were known as my daughter.But now I am known as your mother.This is a proud moment for a mother Prachi.

Prachi smiled and hugged Pragya.

One rainy evening, after a business conference at a luxury hotel, Prachi walked into the lobby.She froze seeing the person standing near the reception.He was Ranbir.

The shy boy from school had transformed into a successful businessman whose face now appeared in magazines and interviews.

Ranbir too saw Prachi.

They both became emotional.Their hearts beat faster.

Ranbir:Prachi!

Prachi:Ranbir!

They sat together in the hotel café, awkwardness slowly melting into familiarity.

Ranbir:Life is strange.See how we met each other again.

Prachi:Yes...true.

Ranbir:I knew that you will reach a top position.

Prachi:I also knew that one day you will also become successful despite of getting low marks as you had some other talent.

Ranbir was surprised.

Prachi:You are unmarried.Right?

Ranbir:How do you know that?

Prachi:Because I have seen your interviews.

Ranbir smiled.

Ranbir:Tell something about your husband and kids.

Prachi:How did you just assume that I am married and have kids?

Ranbir was stunned to know that Prachi is still single.

Ranbir:You never found anyone?

Prachi:I did,but I just lost him.”

Ranbir became emotional:Prachi!

She finally looked at him, and after all those years, the same love still existed in her eyes.

Prachi:You know what hurt the most?You never trusted my love.

Ranbir felt upset.

Prachi:You thought marks mattered to me,but I loved Ranbir;the person,not Ranbir;the student.I knew you would succeed one day. Maybe not through studies. Maybe differently. But I always knew you were capable of becoming something great.I never wanted a topper, Ranbir.I only wanted you.

For the first time in years, Ranbir felt ashamed of the decision which he considered as sacrifice.

He had left her because he thought he was trying to make her future safe.

But all he had really done was break both their hearts.

Ranbir asked painfully:Why didn’t you move on?

Prachi smiled through her tears.

Prachi:Because some people don’t leave your heart, even if they leave your life.

Ranbir’s eyes turned teary.

Without thinking, he held her hand again which was the same hand he had let go of years ago.

He pulled her closer.

Ranbir:I am really sorry Prachi.

Prachi wept silently.

Ranbir:This time,I don’t want to leave you and go.

Prachi smiled through her tears.

Prachi:Then don’t leave.Because all these years I had been waiting for you to return to my life understanding my love.My life is empty without you.I still love you Ranbir.

Ranbir said emotionally:I love you too Prachi.

They embraced each other.

Pragya was very happy for Prachi.

Pragya:I was sad that your personal life did'nt reach anywhere.Now I am happy that you found the person you loved unconditionally.

Prachi became emotional and wept.

Pragya:Why are you crying now Prachi?

Prachi:These are tears of happiness mom.I can't believe that after all these years I got my Ranbir back.

Pragya smiled wiping her tears.

Pragya:This is the time to be happy.So smile.

Prachi smiled.

Ranbir and Prachi got married.
