Sadda Haq revolves around the life of an ordinary girl downtrodden by the austere ordeals of the society and her quest to attain her extraordinary dreams against all odds... Sanyukta Agarwaal, the main female protagonist, is born to a business class conservative family of Delhi, an orthodox family that has its conviction in male chauvinism... Brought up in a society where women are meant to be the archetype of an ideal wife and stay within the parameters of kitchen, Sanyukta aims at becoming an Engineer... She aspires to join her dad and elder brother in their family business and together take the company to greater heights, something which is next to impossible in this male dominant society...But then nothing is impossible when sky is the limit...
With her mother, Mrs. Anju Agarwaal, as her moral fiber, Sanyukta passes in an examination and qualifies for F.I.T.E {Founder's Institute of Technology and Engineering} Roorke, one of India's most prestigious and preeminent Engineering Institutes... Despite her family's objection, she succeeds in ensuring her seat in Mechanical Engineering department, a sole branch entirely subjugated by Men and that's when she collides head-on with Randhir Singh Shekhawat, the arrogant top ranker holder and the main male protagonist... Randhir threatens seniors against their ragging leading to a senior, YoYo, supporting male protagonist, befriending him... Randhir's effort to pressurize Kaustuki to change her stream so that his best friend Karan could be with him comes to a sudden halt with Sanyukta's interference, earning her a friend in her chaotic life... With the clash of their divergent ideas, F.I.T.E welcomes the biggest mortal enemy duo- feminist versus male chauvinist...
A sudden attempt made by Sanyukta's father and brother to take her away, thereby crushing her dreams busts when she cleverly and deliberately blasts the circuit she and her then lab partner Randhir were working on... This leads to a series of trouble for both including police case and punishment from Professor Vardhaan, according to which Sanyukta is asked to repair the machine while Randhir is told to clean the lab... Sanyukta's failure leads to Vardhaan mocking her and questioning her zeal for Engineering which ignites the much needed raw passion in her... Sanyukta uses C+ programming and tricks Randhir into repairing the machine...
The Fresher's Day marks the beginning of their intensive rivalry where Randhir manipulates her feminine ego against her... He dares her to design a circuit and tricks her into drinking wine which eventually leads to Randhir winning the challenge, an intoxicated Sanyukta and some serious confrontations... Despite being arch enemies Randhir saves Sanyukta from being molested revealing yet another aspect of his life... The offset of the Fresher's Day party leads to the onset of a Yoyo-Kaustuki-Jignesh love triangle, the former being a senior while the latter one her classmate... Sanyukta along with her mates makes arrangement for Randhir's birthday which in turn peeves him up and a fragment of his tormented childhood comes into light... A crucial competition, YSA{Young Scientist Awards} is meanwhile organized in the college with various tough contests... The constant persistence of Sanyukta to unmask Randhir's secrets leads to her unintentionally hurting his sentiments...
Randhir decides to leave the college as his past haunts him... On insistence of Professor Vardhaan, Sanyukta manages to trace Randhir and brings him back... Professor Vardhaan motivates Randhir who vows to continue with his engineering in F.I.T.E. Sanyukta excels in the competition with her skillful and creative mind, successfully winning the scholarship oblivious to the fact that it was Randhir who had turned down the offer presented to him by the organizer, Miss Renuka Sanyal, his mother...
Vidushi Kumar, the now antagonist turned protagonist, being of jealous of Sanyukta's accomplishment frames her leaking examination paper but all in vain... A misunderstanding is created between Sanyukta and Randhir intensifying their enmity... The plot further thickens when Mr. Harsh Singh Shekhawat, Randhir's dad and an addicted drunkard, visits him... Sanyukta complains against Randhir which infuriates him and he insults her to which Sanyukta retorts though humbly... Randhir misinterprets their conversation and accuses Sanyukta of being impolite and vents out his anger on her... Highly infuriated, Randhir ends up kissing Sanyukta to which she responds out of rage...
The college vacations starts and everyone visit their native place... At home, Sanyukta's father gets a marriage proposal for Sanyukta from an affluent yet conformist family. In order to make her family happy, Sanyukta agrees to meet the grooms family, The Mittals, under the pretense of a traditional girl doing her BA 1styear... Elsewhere, Randhir visits his "Chacha's" garage, a welcoming mechanic he had met in his childhood. An innocent and jovial part of Randhir surfaces up while in company of Chacha and his son, whom he considers his other family... There he meets Samir Mittal, Sanyukta's to-be-fianc, and puts his plan to revenge Sanyukta in motion. Sanyukta tries her level best to get rejected by Samir and even succeeds only to fail when Randhir interjects and her plan back fires... Though to her relief, her fiance has to go to Dubai and the marriage will take place in 10 months...
Professor Vardhaan announces the Dream Team Competition for which Randhir, Sanyukta, Vidushi, Kaustuki, Jignesh, Sahil and Yoyo volunteer... Their first task involves a village task- to produce a useful product with cheaper rates of manufacturing beneficial to the common people, wherein they compete against C.I.T.E. Many buried pasts are opened as we get an insight into Professor Vardhaan's love life... After crossing a series of hurdles and dissolving conflicts, the team finally unites and their combined labors bears the fruit of success. The villagers praise their efforts and eventually, the village head, the Sarpanch, appreciates the project of F.I.T.E. team declaring them as the winners of the contest... Unknown to them, SanDhir bond strengthens and so does their mutual understanding... Professor Kabir, mentor of C.I.T.E Dream Team and an old rival of Professor Vardhaan, plots against him and tries to shatter him by making him believe that his love Niharika, who had died nearly 12 years ago, never reciprocated his feelings... Meanwhile, C.I.T.E. Dream Team captain, Parth Kashyap, decides to achieve his goals under the keen supervision of Professor Vardhaan... Sanyukta, Randhir and Parth join hands and succeed in solving the mystery surrounding Professor Vardhaan... Impressed with his students, Professor Vardhaan rejoins the Dream Team and appoints Randhir as the new captain... Parth and Sanyukta become good friends while Vidushi develops a crush on him... Randhir, on the other hand, doesn't like the closeness budding between Sanyukta and Parth, thus, venting out his frustration on the other members of Dream Team... Sanyukta schemes to prove Randhir's incompatibility as a captain by tricking him into conversing with Renuka Sanyal... A shattered Randhir reveals the fact that Renuka is his mother which makes Sanyukta guilt ridden and she tries to sympathize with him but his rude behavior gets them back to square one with them being rivals again...
Prof Vardhaan, meanwhile, asks Parth to take up the post of captain thus replacing Randhir, to which he refuses each time... It is when Randhir is contradicted in front of the inspection team impulsively; Parth takes up his challenge to fight for the post of captain... Though Randhir wins the challenge yet he hands over the captaincy to Parth when he realizes that Parth had a disturbing childhood polishing people's shoes for his livelihood... Vidushi musters courage and finally proposes Parth to which he refuses and she misunderstands his and Sanyukta's friendship... Parth is accused of transferring F.I.T.E. Dream Team's funds to C.I.T.E. Dream Team... Few hours in jail, under Inspector Rana's captivity, reveals that Parth had anger issues in the past and has criminal records cause of the same... Prof Vardhaan along with Dream Team proves Parth's innocence and gets him released... Vidushi is mortified after watching a brutally beaten up Parth and regrets for conspiring against him...
Sanyukta's father faces a huge loss and is in a state of crisis. A worried Sanyukta decides to help him... Sanyukta pleads Randhir to help her with improvising her dad's project to which he agrees but implies a condition... As per the condition put forth by him, Sanyukta dresses up like a typical Indian woman, follows certain norms and ends up in a heap of problems... Realizing Sanyukta's genuine concern for her dad, Randhir puts his efforts in designing the blueprint model for her sake...
Due to her family pressure, Sanyukta takes admission in a grooming centre. Randhir irks her by his sudden unwanted presence in the centre and starts grating her... As a result of her hectic schedule she is unable to attend lectures and Professor Vardhaan blasts on her for her negligence... Vidushi intends to teach Sanyukta a lesson and locks her in a water tank which ends up being fatal only to have Parth rescue Sanyukta... Meanwhile Samir's interest in Sanyukta perks up and he intends to marry her soon while Sanyukta tries to ignore him... Randhir's parents make an arrangement for their divorce and try to seek Randhir's support...
~ LOVE PHASE ~
Tech Fest is organized in F.I.T.E. and several Engineering Institutes participate, one amongst them is L.I.T.S. which proves to be the Dream Team's strongest opponent... L.I.T.S Team is under the supervision of Mrs. Maya Raichand... Members of the L.I.T.S. team misbehave with Sanyukta and try to win the contest by their unfair means, one such instance was when they hide the tool kit of F.I.T.E. Sanyukta strives to build unity among the members and decides to test their concern for each other... Maya bribes Vidushi to betray her team to which she initially refuses but finally accepts the proposal. Despite their unfair scheme, F.I.T.E wins the competition proving their worth..
. With the commencement of third year, students fill up their admission forms. Vardhaan is upset with Randhir for not focusing on his goals... Samir intends to get engaged to Sanyukta at the earliest... He sets up a date, gifts her necklace and does mushy-mushy stuffs to impress Sanyukta whose dislike for him amplify... Randhir becomes disappointed on witnessing Samir's and Sanyukta's affinity and is against their engagement which was ironically set up by him... Sanyukta make every effort to foil her engagement... She blemishes her face intentionally by applying bleach and is successful in halting the engagement which gets postponed...
The culprit behind Vardhan's father, Prof Rao's mental condition is revealed to be the Dean who sends his associate to finish him off by injecting poison... However, Vardhaan manages to save him... He gathers evidences against the Dean and gets him arrested for his misdeeds...Maya is elected as the new Dean of F.I.T.E. She insists Vardhaan to resign from the Dream Team seizing his cabin but Vardhaan is determined to rebuild his Dream Team...
Randhir becomes sad on recalling few past incidents... Sanyukta learns about Randhir's birthday and gifts him a new motorbike... They spend some time together and a new bond of friendship blossoms between them... With the coordinated efforts of the team members, they are able to complete the prototype project whilst deceiving Maya and lulling her into fake reassurance... The team also succeeds in designing GPS Adventure Stick' and popularizing it on media and social net... Realization dawns on Randhir that he has fallen head over heels for his Farzi... Samir yet again irritates Sanyukta with his cheesy romance and insists on spending some quality time with her... Vardhaan, annoyed with Maya's ignorance, invites few experts to test the skills of the dream team...
Sanyukta learns about Randhir's feelings for her and she too falls in love with him... But as their fate would have it, Sanyukta's engagement approaches and she is taken back... Randhir learns about the same and is shattered to know about Sanyukta's betrayal... On the very day of Sanyukta's engagement, a heartbroken and drunk Randhir ruins the ceremony... He has a verbal spat with Sanyukta's parents and is badly treated... After composing himself, Randhir apologizes to Mr. Agarwaal for his misbehavior and confronts him for badmouthing about his parents... Mr. Agarwaal falls sick and Sanyukta holds herself responsible for her family's condition... Sanyukta tries her level best to act indifferently towards her dreams and concentrate on her duties towards her family but fails miserably... The court hearing date of divorce of Randhir's parents come and he supports his father... After the engagement fiasco, SanDhir are back at being rivals...
Vardhaan scolds them for behaving indecently in-front of Maya and teaches a lesson to them... Few members of the engineering accreditation team visit F.I.T.E. to conduct a test for the dream team... They brief SanDhir about the rules of the contest and their rival who turns out to be Vardhaan's ex-assistant... SanDhir win this contest as well, adding yet another trophy to their collection... Meanwhile, Vidushi discovers about Parth's nerve disorder and pays his medical expenses. Parth finds it out and misunderstands Vidushi's help as her act of charity... Vidushi asks him to be her boyfriend as a payback for her favor...
Vardhaan's sudden disappearance from the college brings everything to a state of complete chaos... The Dream Team goes in search of Vardhaan in a remote area where... Vidushi embarrass SanDhir... Vardhaan wonders on finding the team and refuses to mentor them... Determined to win Vardhaan's confidence, the Dream team start their endeavor to help the villagers by solving their major issues... The village trip becomes significant as new relations are formed while old ones strengthen... VidArth{Vidushi + Parth} romance makes the trip more memorable... Proud of the efforts and the dedication put forth by his students, Vardhaan returns to F.I.T.E. Examinations are held in the college the students are asked to give their examinations in pair... Randhir ends up being paired with Sanyukta who becomes ill... Randhir's concern for Sanyukta surfaces and he requests Maya to postpone the exams... It is finalized that the exams will be held as and when scheduled and the students will appear for the test individually...
Ankit, Sanyukta's elder brother, convinces Mr. Agarwaal to finance his and Samir's new joint venture... To provide the funds Mr. Agarwaal mortgages a company and breaks Sanyukta's fixed deposits... On learning about the same, Sanyukta demands 50% share of the new company to be transferred under her name... The highly chauvinist and conservative family of Samir is offended by her demand and questions her upbringing... They blame her parents and insult them... Anju and Ankit restrict Sanyukta from pursuing her academics in F.I.T.E. which directly affects Randhir's life and indirectly affects the entire Dream Team... Out of desperation, Randhir sneaks into her house and installs a microphone in her room to overhear her conversation with her family... Sanyukta takes a final decision to toughen up for her dreams and bids her adieu...
Sanyukta confronts Randhir regarding his feelings and both confess their love for each other... Sanyukta learns about Parth's nerve disorder and is upset with him for concealing the fact... Rishi, Maya's husband, continues ill treating her while Vardhaan motivates her to fight against the injustice... Randhir vows to participate in YSA contest for the sake of scholarship to pay his and Sanyukta's fees... On learning about Maya's hostile relationship with Rishi, Randhir fears to establish his affinity with Sanyukta... Sanyukta wins the YSA and pays both her and Randhir's fees... Sanyukta, in order to make Randhir jealous, establishes her affinity with Parth... Parth helps her by being over-friendly and teaching her basket which makes Randhir and Vidushi furious... Vardhaan consoles a frustrated Maya... Sanyukta confronts Randhir for flirting with another girl and challenges him to propose her... Eventually Randhir disappoints her and she takes matter into her hands...
Ankit withdraws Sanyukta's security deposit and she is asked to pay the hostel fees... Randhir endeavors to arrange for Sanyukta's fees meanwhile, Sanyukta offers online classes to few students... Vidushi's hidden past comes forth haunting her... It is revealed that she was married to a man named Varun at a tender age and had divorce... Sanyukta joins TCH and her struggle against male dominance continues but at a different level... She is ordered to vacate her hostel room due to her inability to pay the fees and complaints of some parents... Sanyukta refuses help from everyone and shifts to a PG after much hard work...
The track continues with Sanyukta's uphill struggle against the MCP's of the coaching classes with Randhir as her backbone and Vidushi's nightmarish past which reduced her to be the self eccentric cold shell that she is today...
