Speaking to the media for the first time post their famous re-union, Shah Rukh Khan said his fight with Salman Khan was never like what it was made out by the media.
While at an event when Shah Rukh was asked about patch up with Salman, he blamed media for over dramatising the fight and stated that even when it was not all hunky-dory, there never was bad blood between them.

According to a leading daily he said, "Because of Bollywood, people some times over dramatise things. Our relationship with people is not exactly what is being presented outside. There has been a long relationship between both our families, mine and Salman's and our children. So it was never like going to some place new".

What the world witnessed during Arpita's wedding is the actual relation, industry's two biggest Khans share. The two hit it off big time during Arpita's sangeet and reception. In fact the two danced away to glory at the reception announcing to the whole world that the 'long-standing enmity' was mere media creation.
By participating in Arpita Khan's sangeet and reception ceremonies, Shah Rukh Khan forever has resumed his endearing friendship with arch rival Salman Khan. In a presscon, SRK made his happiness known to all when he said, "Not with arrogance but with utmost humility I say that Salman and me have had many moments of happiness in our lives and very few moments of sorrow. But one thing which I can assure is that we will always be there for each other in life to share each other's moments of happiness and despair."
He added, "When me and Salman meet personally our relationship is same as what it was 25 years back. There is no bad blood. From the outside, we are Pathans and hot headed guys and can have issues at times but nothing more to that. Arpita is close to me too. I have seen her grow in front of my eyes so the essence here was that our sister was getting married and we had to be there."
