Chak De's Balbir is Lady Daya in CID

Tough cop Daya (Dayanand Shetty), who's famous for breaking doors at the behest of ACP Pradyuman, will have company on CID. The show is all set to introduce a lady Daya in actress Tanya Abrol, who had featured in Chak De! India.

"She will play Jaywanti, a cop as tough as Daya and will be part of the show for good. A die-hard Daya fan, she admires and looks up to him. She is talkative, inquisitive and will be seen wielding a hockey stick."

Sony TV's most popular and long running show CID will soon witness a new entry. Shahrukh Khan starrer Chak De fame Tanya Abrol, has been roped to play a prominent role in the show.

According to our sources, "Tanya has been shortlisted to play a Jaywanti. She is as tough as Daya (Dayanand Shetty). Jaywanti is chatty, curious and will be seen exercising a hockey stick. She admires Daya and looks up to him."

When contacted Tanya said, "Yes I am doing CID and I am very happy to be a part of this show. I am playing a Marathi girl Jayawanti Shinde, who belongs to Haryana. It's an amazing character, audience will see me breaking the doors like Daya."

Tanya already started shooting for the show and her entry is expected to telecast this week.

I don't want any more new cops! 😡 I am hating any news about any new entrant on CID. AS it is we have such a huge crowd. 😡 I was happy about one of the lampposts leaving yesterday and now this! 😡

I don't want anyone becoming lady Daya or lady Abhijeet or lady ACP or lady Nik or anyone. I don't want anymore people on the show...male or female! 😡 SICKKK! 🤢
