Masa and abba huzoor have no idea what hit them and were trying to save face in front of family, ministers, maids and soldiers
Then masa again does a mistake - goes to feed child that is already angry with her

There is something known as transaction analaysis in psychology and here the adult jodha-akbar are treating Salim like an equal adult instead of treating him like child which he is in reality
What do we do when a child is angry? Or what did parents do when we are angry?
First of all play act and find out why child is angry with them
Abhi here parents are not even understanding why child is angry? When will Jodha and Akbar know Salim is a child not some minister or maid to be ordered around and to scare him using Shahenshah name etc
Jodha should have instead of feeding him sat and asked him nicely why Salim is angry with her?
Once she knows the reason like Salim explained to Rahim she should have first said sorry then child ego satisfied then Salim shall listen to what she says.
Shed some tears like nirupa roy on how much she missed him no man especially a 8 year old boy can ignore mom tears. Jodha sheds tears witrhout reason in front of Akbar, Hamida etc abhi kya hua? Bas two tear drops and Salim will melt like jelly in pudding.
If that does not work go on hunger strike yourself - parents usually use this to make a child eat no, they say ok if salim does not eat I shall also not eat. Salim will again not want mom to go hungry.
If all this does not work send an hamida or someone to tell Salim what all dad-mom did when he was away doing security duty outside his hut, sleeping on floor, not having food etc for his sake. This will sure shot melt any person and Salim thinks from heart he shall melt away like ice in hot sun 😉

Now we come to Akbar- first day only he is so bothered about war training 😲 kya baap hai? Give child 2 days off take him to hunting and picnic, play with him what about all those dialogues Jodha begum once salim comes back I will shower love on him? Is this how you shower love with sword fight in front of so many uff jalal pls you cannot understand ruqaiah fine we resign to that fate but a child you cannot understand a child 🥺 that too your own sheiku baba whom you prayed for a decade to get.

When Salim told you he did not like your justice tell him na you did not punish him for hitting qadir you punished him for running off the place leaving an injured boy and he could have died and then lied in court. But still if you thought daddy is wrong sorry baby and you can give any punishment and as your father I am ready to accept. Bas Salim would understand and forgive.
Tell me honestly jalal will you give any child other than Salim same punishment if he did same crime? Nope na so Salim is getting that punishment as you want to set example to awaam and salim too right. So why not accept what you did and why you did and say sorry.
Salim is a child but this jalal and Jodha also acting like small kids ziddi not understanding how to soothe an angry child.
Did Akbar forgive his mom hamida for leaving him with maids and going off with humayun no na not for 30 years I still have not seen him say sorry for his behaviour? Then how he can expect a child Salim to forgive them for an even bigger error.
Atleast Rahim tried explaining but again he is a poor communicator. Now I have hope only on hamida
