Maisu,beautiful post.
I have seen so many people complain that Nandini is too good but honestly she aint. She has anger issues, we have seen that when prodded too far she can dole it out.
But what Nandini is is a Survivor, she survived a traumatic episode , so traumatic, nothing else is as traumatic for her.It has helped her to learn to compartmentalize and move on, but the trauma remains. We need more insight into this Nandini, we need to understand her trauma, her inner feelings, what makes her tick, we get a read on Manik, but we,need to see the trauma that has shaped Nandini Murthy.
Nandini is a human and no human is
too good or
too bad. Something in them, even the littlest of it, keeps them real. Shades and layers combined. Nandini is like that as well. She's good and mature but at her first fall, she immediately closed her emotions off and refused to think about the situation logically, refused to acknowledge the other person's reasoning behind his actions. Like every human, she is twisting things to suit herself because she
wants to. For some moments of peace, she is looking for something to lay the blame on.
Manik is so open about his feelings and the show heavily focuses on him as well. We know all shades and sides of Manik. The 'whys' behind his actions are so clear to us. But the 'hows' of Nandini are never touched upon. How did she shape herself to be like this? How did she deal with that trauma? We know that to her the night of the accident was the worst, Musicana night comes second to that but only by some points. And she dealt with both the nights. Musicana one I can understand because it was the second night and she's grown up here, but the first night? The night relates as much to Nandini as it does to Rishabh/Dhruv. I know this is not the time for that night to be explored but when it does, Nandini's part in it should also be focused..
