I agree about 90% about your Karunya comparison. Karunya was/is a class apart, a STAR right from the piano rounds- who can ever forget the heavenly magic and versatality of Karunya. Amit is getting better and better and will soon/should be able to soon reach the heights that Karunya touched if he keeps up his hard work. Karunya was /is a master of sur, taal and feeling, effortless is not the word.......Amit is very very close. I love Amit's voice N style N humility!!

No I don't really think that conspiracy theory holds water. Yes AMIT did make smart song selections but that was to show his versatility for Exmaple Jhumroo, Dil Lena and then all the Amir Khan songs and he excelled in all of them and only a talented singer can do that.

AMIT completely deserves and should be the Indian Idol this year.
