Dear CV's: What the What?

I don't know what to say...me watching or not watching the show has absolutely no impact on the oh-so-precious TRP's, as a foreign viewer I don't count lol... but shiiieet this is not the show I fell in love with!!!

What is happening to this show?

The biggest problems in my opinion:

1. The lack of continuity: Especially over the last few weeks. Raman is the aggressively jealous hubby one night (I felt so bad for Ishita), and the next day all is well, the nok-jhoks are back...Ishita gets harassed by Ashok and his Pervy crew, freaks out (rightfully so...her reaction was on point) and the very next day its all "lets go to the wedding"...W*F?!!

2. Characters keep flip-flopping:
  • Raman is a bad ass CEO who takes shit from no one, but he'll become a majboor push over crybaby in a second. It's not just how he is with Adi because he can crack the whip on the kid...we've seen it, but then randomly he becomes majboor. He saves Ishita and beats up the pervy guy nd is ready to go to war for her...being all "I'm here for you..blah blah", but then he becomes a crybaby and thinks she'd be better off without him?!
  • Ishita: mahaan (always...that has been consistent), but how can someone so smart be so stupid?
  • Mihika: bad ass I-Don't-take-shit-from-no-man has become a bumbling idiot who will be used as some pawn in a messed up game she started herself. She's been all "Akka, Akka I've got your back" and now she's BFF's with Shagun?

3. Over abundance of Mani/not utilized properly": we've all discussed this one to death.

I've been reading the write up's so that I know which scenes to forward...and it's been pretty much every single one this week except the few minutes of Ishita and Raman and Toshi ji parts (I love toshi auntie...puts a smile on my face:))

Come on CV's...I know you guys love them TRP's but you'd probably be blowing the shit off the proverbial TRP roof if you delivered the quality that you used to...come on, I know you can do it.

I couldn't agree with you more, Gah it's so frustrating to see such an amazing show going towards the dump, and it's sad because it has so much potential!
My hands hurt or I would type more to express my displeasure.

I'm in the same boat as you! Being an overseas viewer i am only concerned with the content of the show. When this show first started I was intrigued because of the story line about a woman who can't become a mother. What happened to this story??? YHM is the only indian show I watch and it's turning into all the other shows my mom watches and I cannot stand them.
The writers could have explored so many opportunities with it instead of showing senseless family drama.

I actually enjoyed the jealousy track as it was important for raman to realize that not all women will do to him what Shagun did. I was really disappointed that it ended so abruptly!

I would've liked to see more of the following:

- Raman and Ishita love growing. When did they fall in love? They could've showed more scenes with Ishita and Raman contemplating with themselves about loving the other.

- after the love story, they could've brough Adi to the Bhalla house somehow and made the story about Ishita winning Adi over and how that affects Raman's and her relationship

- they could still explore how raman and ishita would want to have a baby of their own as a symbol of their love and show them finding new ways such as surrogacy, adoption etc.

This was supposed to be a mature love story with mature content not the typical masala shows. Very disappointed but I still have some faith.

CVs have a myriad of areas to focus on. And by this I mean, SENSIBLE areas. With such strong leads and a brilliant storyline, the show could rule. I hope cvs understand this soon and put an end to all the unnecessary dramas. 😕

couldn't agree more.
Great post. Agree with each point of yours.

There's lack of consistency, BIG TIME !

But my main concern in with Mihika. Is she that same girl who beat up some guys who tried to tease her on railway station (during the very start of the show)? Also she whippee up the fake goons who were sent by mihir to impress her. She can't be that same girl :-/

she was someone who took shit from no men. But now shez being a dumbass, acting all lame in hands of Ashok. Good lord! There's more (worse) to come :(
