Mukul Dev
Mukul Dev, who plays Akash in Kasshish, has messed up his travel plans. The actor is currently in Malaysia hosting the Indian version of Fear Factor. Mukul left for Malaysia on September 2, and was supposed to return back to India for Kasshish. However, things didn't work out as planned.

Stalling return

A source close to the unit of Kasshish says, "Mukul has been saying that he will be back soon. But he hasn't returned yet. He first told us that he would be back on September 18, then called back saying September 22; the last time we spoke to him, he said October 2. Being a daily, there is no way we can keep waiting for him. The only solution was to make changes in the script to accommodate his absence."

Confirming this, producer Ravi Rai says, "Yes it is true that I have had to rework the script. My hands are tied since it is a daily, and Mukul did not want to miss out on his Malaysia assignment. He was required to come back for two to three days and I would have made him shoot the required schedule. But he didn't do that as he knew he wouldn't get a fresh visa immediately."

Bunk master

It is learnt that Mukul left the country on a single entry visa for Malaysia. As per his plans, he had dedicated dates for Kasshish and was required to come back.

However, the fear of not being able to procure a fresh visa if he returned made him apply for a multiple-entry visa from Malaysia, which was rejected. The actor then decided to stay on in Malaysia and bunked the dates required for Kasshish.

When asked if this has irked Rai, he says, "There are actors who party hard for nights and forget about the shoot the next day. They talk and boast about Hollywood and Bollywood, but forget the sincerity and hard work it requires to reach that level. I have been in this industry for a long time and have seen lot of sprains and injuries happen. My job is to be answerable to the audience and make sure the show doesn't suffer."

A source close to the unit says, "If he wanted, Mukul could have come back and shot for Kasshish. But I guess he was scared of losing the other show. I am sure he will come back and apologise with excuses."

Disappeared from K Street Pali Hill too

Mukul's Malaysia journey also made him lose out on K Street Pali Hill. The actor, who plays the character of Arindam, left the show without informing the unit about his dates.

The creative director for the show, Sandip Sikcand, also pointed that there were complaints about Mukul's behaviour on the sets, especially about coming late and delaying shoots. His disappearance from the show has made Sikcand make Arindam go into hiding.
