This is a sure shot 0 TRP garnering story but this is how I would approach it.đ
Sahir warns Arzoo to stay away from him. Arzoo of course does the exact opposite and finds every way to come near him. Zeenat is not really out of coma yet but showing signs such as blinking etc. KA of course elated but Alvira not so much. Sahir finds it too much to stop himself from Arzoo at the same time wait for Zeenat to wake up. He then takes Arzoo to the hospital, shows her Zeenat and tells her his story, simply, plainly without emotions just facts. Arzoo is shocked to find that Sahir is married. Next few days she spends in the state of betrayal, self pity and what not. First thing she does is find a rental place to move her family. Over few days, after much introspection, she actually finds that she admires Sahir for what he is doing for his wife. At one end is her father, who left his very much conscious wife and family and at the other end there is this man, who is remaining staunchly loyal to his comatose wife and for no less than 7 years. Her opinion about Sahir softens. She wants to do something for him out of goodness of her heart. She can't deny the fact that she has fallen in love with him.
Sahir informs Alvira that he has shared his past with Arzoo and leaves it at that. Alvira takes this opportunity to urge the girl to bring some happiness, normalcy back in her son's life by agreeing to become his second wife. In exchange, Alvira will make sure Arzoo's family is financially compensated. Arzoo agrees to this but tells Alvira Sahir may not agree to this at all. All this time, Zeenat's potential recovery is looming large in the house, much to KA's exaggerated antics. Sahir remains busy in trying to become the richest man in India.
When Alvira approaches Sahir with 2nd Nikah with Arzoo, Sahir goes all bombastic. He squashes the idea completely leaving Alvira dumbfounded. Arzoo then approaches him and puts forward the marriage proposal herself. She also discloses that she is doing this since this would lead to the financial security for her family who has nowhere to go. Sahir counters her that there is nothing in it for him in this marriage. He can't give her anything except roof over her head. He is a damaged man, incapable of love and his loyalty lies towards his first wife. Arzoo agrees to this saying that he should continue to remain loyal to his first wife, she expects nothing from him or this marriage. The day his first wife awakes, Arzoo will herself give Sahir a talak and leave. Till then, Sahir will get her companionship. She will continue working in Saiyarra learning to be the best designbaaz, she does not need a different treatment from Sahir, just another employee in the company and a companion at home. That is it.
Sahir is in dilemma. He no longer cares to ignore his growing attraction towards Arzoo but at the same time yet not ready to commit since he wants to close Zeenat chapter first. It won't happen till Zeenat wakes up. He has no one to turn to for counsel, guidance as to what he should do. He craves for the normal life no doubt but is not ready to move on since Zeenat's challenge is gnawing at his soul.
Anyways, after much deliberation Sahir agrees with the condition that this is just a companionship, nothing else. Only Myra knows what's going on with Arzoo. She realizes that Arzoo has fallen in love with Sahir and with open eyes she is going to do this which will benefit the entire family. She confronts Arzoo. Arzoo acks both the charges and tells Myra that she has never believed in Nikah, in finding a right man for her. Her father's deeds had made her distrustful of all men but Sahir intrigues her and she genuinely wants to help Sahir find peace. Myra warns her to think about what will happen after Zeenat wakes up.
The story from here onward is about Sahir trying to remain the ruthless business man, Zeenat's husband where Arzoo through myriad of instances leading him back to what he was before - an artist, a poet, a designer.Throughout their supposedly married life, Zeenat's shadow looms large taking toll on both, though Arzoo bravely tries to overcome it. The story of course can have Arzoo having to deal with KA, Sarfaraz, Saiyarra's issues, tag of 2nd wife etc as well. Zeenat remains present in their lives through flashbacks that Sahir gets at various instances throughout this period. Through Arzoo's manifestations, Sahir realizes that what he is today, what he has become in last 7 years is by his own choice. True, his comatose wife did instigate him, but it was he who walked on that road alone. Zeenat cannot be blamed for what he is today. It was always his own choice. He lost the way somewhere and it is Arzoo who has shown him errors of his ways.
This self realization of Sahir coincides with Zeenat waking up at last. Arzoo true to her word leaves Sahir wishing them both happy married life ahead. Though heartbroken, Arzoo marches on with her designer experience in the outside world trying to make a name for herself. Zeenat after waking up is a changed woman. She is dumbfounded at the state of the things in the last 7 years. KA tries to badmouth Arzoo to her, etc but she finally realizes that they were never meant to be and she needs to break this off herself. Sahir and Zeenat mutually decide to part ways finding a closure on their relationship. Rest of the story can be of Sahir pursuing Arzoo, find a way to bring her back in his life.
No atrocious drama of hiding truth from anyone. This does not give unnecessary importance to Zeenat while trying to communicate to the viewers that everyone has a choice in their life. Arzoo had the choice of walking away from Sahir when she finds out that he is married. Sahir had the choice of walking away from Zeenat. Even Zeenat had the choice of leaving Sahir to find a wealthy man. It is the choices that these characters made that either brought them on the same road of becoming humsafars or ran their lives in parallel.
