Vivek Oberoi, known for his charity work especially after the Asian Tsunami, is in Srinagar, helping rebuild a school for special children that was completely destroyed by the floods.

While we were impressed by his message - "We raise the slogan 'Kashmir hamara hai (Kashmir is ours) so many times, but when will we say 'Kashmiri hamare hai (Kashmiris are ours). When will we shed that bias?" - we couldn't help wonder if there is more than meets the eye.

After all, Oberoi was seen by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's side before and after the swearing in ceremony at the Wankhede. And Jammu and Kashmir is going to polls very soon.

Vivek is a big Modi bhakt. Was even invited to the swearing ceremony. Ho bhi sakta hai par doubtful. Bade bade maharathi actors politician banke lallu ho gaye. BigB, Govinda.

3% of population went to watch the most popular film. Vast majority of them are not even fanatics. None of them are relevant enough to make a difference in politics unless they are with BJP/Congress(very weak right now). Khan's star power is limited to small pond called BW only.

Not everybody goes to watch movie in theaters.

It might make a difference.

1/3rd of the population lives below Rs.80 per day. They can hardly afford to have food thrice a day let alone TV and satellite channels. Recently saw an article saying R Rajkumar had one of the highest TRPs. So most likely viewer percentage there is also below 10% of total population. Soaps are way more popular too. BW being a religion etc is bakwas tagline. Vast majority don't even care about it in South where fanaticism is even higher. Even there Chiranjeevi who created party to became CM later had to merge with Congress. That era is long gone.

I don't think Vivek would do anything, because his career wasn't messed up by just salman. He himself had to do with it, and idt vivek cares that much about sallu anymore.

Vivek is really a man living in THIS world.. IDK why many celebs do not contribute in helping bring back these disaster-struck displaced people to normalcy.. Good work by Vivek. ❤️
