In April next year, he will be seen in Kabir Khan's next Phantom also featuring Katrina Kaif. Ask him about his future projects and he replies, "As producers, we (Dinesh Vijan and I) are keen on a sequel to Go Goa Gone. We are also working with Saket Chaudhary on developing something. He has a really nice idea and it should fall in place soon. I think we should be working on scripts and that takes time. So Go Goa Gone 2 and Saket's film are two possibilities. As an actor, I am looking at working with Sujoy Ghosh, on a remake and his version of Suspect X. We are still working on the script as we want to surprise people who think they have read the book or know the story."

But Fukrey changed everything for the actor and suddenly filmmakers are looking at the potential of the young actor. Despite his last release O Teri, which failed at the box office, filmmakers believe the actor does have potential.
There was news that Samrat would be playing the main lead in Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor's joint production titled De De Pyaar De to be directed by Sonam Nair. The film was all set to start rolling mid-November but now it seems it will go on the floors only early next year.
