Symbolism of Shooting Scenes

TP is set for some high drama next week. Most likely we will witness a shooting scene.

My guess is it is Pakhi who will be shot trying to save Veer.

It is interesting, that the first shooting we saw was Anuja accidentally targeting Veer. And now, it will be Nandini accidentally shooting Pakhi.

Contrary to general expectations we have a woman wielding the gun in both instances.

IMO this symbolizes a self-punishment that first Veer and now Pakhi are subjecting themselves to undergo. Something akin to the test of fire that Goddess Sita went through. Getting shot is for Pakhi and was for Veer an act of purification, in other words it symbolizes wiping away the past and starting afresh.

Veer was ashamed with the way he treated Pakhi at Anuja's behest. He was disgusted at himself for believing Anuja and subjecting Pakhi to an ordeal. His getting shot - gave him a chance to literally begin anew with Pakhi.

Similarly now, Pakhi is aware that she has insulted and humiliated Veer. She is not proud of her behavior. Being shot at (by Nandini) gives her a chance to redeem herself and begin anew with Veer.

I do not follow twitter. And, right now I am disappointed with Pakhi reciting her lines devoid of emotion.

If the CVs plan to kill her - then they are depicting Pakhi either as a "flawed" mother or that her love for Veer is so overpowering that she is willing to sacrifice her life for him and leave Ayaan in his care!

Her "Mein tumhare hee Anshuman - bas _ tumhari Paakhi" is the (superficial) mantra dinned in her since childhood whereas her outward action of sacrificing herself to save Veer's life is with whom her true love and loyalty is anchored.

I read somewhere that currently there is a trend on Indian TV about the lead pairs dying to "immortalise" their love for each other. So that may be the way they go.

Personally I would not consider that to be a positive finish because to live behind a child who has already lost both parents to keep a promise is height of selfish.

If they are going to end it with the death of Paakhi then that is not a "positive note" ending in my opinion...
Any ways lets see where it goes, we got this far so i can stick it out for a few more days.

Coming to your topic...
Symbolism ... it will take yesterdays episode ...where Veer and Paakhi reverted to their light hearted banter of a few weeks ago.
It also shows Paakhi , who claims to have no love for him, is acutely aware of his likes dislikes, she enjoys teasing him, and she did her best to cheer him up when he was feeling frustrated...
She is willing to fight a big man to save his life. (lol that scene was just funny)
In the precap she was standing in front of him like a shield and he was asking her to move.

All indications is she has feelings for him...

Payal - yes the CVs probably following (the misguided) theme of showing one dying for one's love. But whom is Pakhi dying for?

Veer not Anshuman

The Anshuman jaap of her tweet is her subconscous brain washed "blah ... blah".

Consciously it is Veer for whom she is willing to give her life.

She is not willing to dedicate her life to live and take care of Anshuman's Ayaan!

Her logic will be she honoured her promise to Veer when she married him that she will protect him and she honoured her promise to Ansuman to take care of Aayan by entrusting him and his inheritance to Veer.

Having fulfilling both of her promises she can go and be with her Ansuman in peace.

If that is what she does that she is being selfish on a number of fronts:

1. Expecting Veer to take care of Aayan and Rethod buisness - is that fair on him?

2. Ayaan who has already lost 2 parents has to go through losing another one

3. She is ignoring Reha's plea "Our little family is important to me and Aayan. We have lost our parents, we cannot lose you two"

That's not a positive end by any stretch of the imagination.

I suspect there will be an arrangement whereby they will revert back to the relationship they had before Veer's family arrived because Veer has already told her that he never expected anything from her and he never wanted her to forget/stop loving Ansuman.

Dear Payal - I disagree with you in that which I have highlighted in bold.

Veer and Pakhi's relationship will taken off on a new start - the current montage where they are posing for a family portrait is where this track is heading - IMHO.

All this drama about a tweet is to just to get more audiences to watch the show next week so that it can end on a high or last hurrah!!
