PK will probably change a lot of opinions but it seems like Bollywood always nominates the actors from big hit movies with maybe one critically praised role

Shahid for Haider

Varun for HSKD

Sid for Ek Villain

Randeep for Highway

I'm sure there will be one or two more.

Alia Bhatt for Highway

Kangana Ranaut for Queen

Priyanka Chopra for Mary Kom

Possibly Anushka for PK, and possibly Parineeti for HTP

As to who will win I don't know. I feel more confidant that Tabu will probably win best supporting for Haider and either Ritesh or Kay Kay Menon for supporting for Ek Villain and Haider respectively.

Shahid and Kangana or maybe Anushka. Though it wouldn't surprise me if Alia took something too. Like her or hate her she's been all over the media and it's all been positive.

Yea I totally get what you are saying. I'm hoping neither her nor Sid win (though his win is very unlikely anyway) just because this early it opens them up to much higher expectations which inevitably results in a big fall. Having said that, I won't complain if pictures of them together as winners start coming out 😉.

What if we are all wrong and Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor win for 2 States and Ek Villain?

Critics awards should go to Tabu for Ghazala.

Tabu was the best thing about Haider after Shahid. She deserves the critics award as much as Shahid deserves best actor.
