Nigaar Khan (born circa 1979) is an Indian television actress mainly known for her portrayal of negative characters. She is the elder sister of model-actress Gauhar Khan.
Khan started her career as a model. She was the finalist of the Femina Elite modelling contest. Khan moved to Mumbai from her hometown Pune. Doing modelling roles for various products, fashion shows and cameos for television, Khan received her first big break in the 2002 TV serial Lipstick that aired on Zee TV.
In 2007, Khan appeared in TV series Kasamh Se playing the role of Barnali.
In 2008, Khan participated in the dancing competition show Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena that aired on Colors TV. The format of the show paired Khan with wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik of Indian cricket team. Their dance in one of the episodes on the song "Woh Ladki Hai Kaha" (Dil Chahta Hai) was well appreciated by the judges, Sushmita Sen and Wasim Akram, and the audience.
In 2011, UTV Bindass launched a new reality TV show The Khan Sisters which focused on the lives of Khan and her sister Gauhar. The following year Khan appeared in the show Sacch Ka Saamna (season 2). She also hosted the show Love Story.Aired on the news channel ABP News, Love Story showcased some classic love stories of Bollywood. Khan presented the stories and interviewed various celebrities.
In 2013, Khan appeared on the reality show Welcome - Baazi Mehmaan-Nawaazi Ki.Since September 2013, Khan has appeared in the mythological show Buddha based on life of Gautama Buddha. She plays the role of Buddha's aunt and Devadatta's mother.Now she is replaced.
In 2013, Khan appeared on the series Hongey Judaa Na Hum playing the role of Simran Rajpal and also appeared in Comedy Nights with Kapil playing various characters.
Khan joined the cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as playing cameo role of yoga teacher named Sofia in 2014.
In 2014 she also joined the cast of Main Naa Bhoolungi as playing the role of Madhurima Jagannath and participated as a contestant on Bigg Boss Season 8.
