The way I viewed this scene was completely steeped in symbolism. Firstly why is Sahir challenging Arzoo? Because he wants to break her ego and show her the real world doesn't work just on talent, it works on merit and being able to market that talent. He's doing this to force Arzoo to grow as a designer, and to make sure she doesn't go on believing blindly that the world will work on her terms. And now in the process of helping Arzoo develop the proper skills needed to be the person she wants to be he cuts himself. Imagine that! In helping Arzoo achieve to be the best possible version of herself, he ends up hurting himself. If that's not foreshadowing I don't know what is. It could be that time and time again he will end up in the same position but next time the pain will be internal, and Arzoo will only continue to climb the ladder of success. Maybe we will see the hero sacrificing himself for his heroine's dreams.
