Parineeti keen to act in regional films
Parineeti Chopra is five films old in Bollywood and she has been lauded for her acting skills on several occasions. While the actor feels that she has found her place in the industry, she has new aspirations now. Parineeti wants to improve her acting skills further by venturing into regional cinema. "I have been experimental since the beginning of my career. I want to do regional cinema now as working in those films will be a whole new challenge for me. I will be able to explore myself as an actor and will get to learn different languages," says Parineeti.
The actor, who hails from Ambala (Haryana), feels that acting in Punjabi movies will not be as difficult for her as films in other regional languages. "As I can speak Punjabi, it will be easier for me," says Parineeti, who wants to do more good films.
"I want to hone my skills to become the best actor that I can be. I want to work in 1,000 more films and deliver great performances," she says.
While Parineeti's next will hit the screens soon, she tells us that she hasn't signed any other Bollywood project as of now. "I have been getting offers, but the scripts are not exciting enough. So, there is no film in my hand currently. I don't want to do a film just for the sake of it. I will have to wait for my next film to release to see if anything interesting comes up," she says.
While Parineeti is particular about the roles she takes up, she explains that she is not awaiting a film that will give her career graph a sudden boost " something like Alia Bhatt's role in Highway or Sonakshi Sinha's character in Lootera (2013). "I have done roles that were performance-oriented. Alia, Sonakshi and many others were doing all kind of films, and hence, were waiting for that one performance-oriented character. But, I started my career with one such role. So I am not waiting for a career-defining film now. But I will always accept good films with demanding performances."
