Hey all,

What a buzz there is, my Forum Folk! A character is going to die and I am most intrigued at seeing what's been happening here.

D'you know? When I first walked into this Forum, there was a strict adherence to the byline: Angad and Kripa, two different ... (blah, blah, blah). It was all about AK&KS and their little love story. The buzz used to be (typically) how terrific AK looked while crying, or how much chemistry AK&KS had on screen.

It's so strange to see the beloved Forum's buzz today. Romantic AK&KS have become a side-show and a somewhat despised one! And it made me think: for the last so many weeks, the P in KYPH might have become as much about friendship like Josh's, as the romantic love between AK&KS.

What keeps love true to it's meaning as a feeling deep in our hearts has splintered into a multi-faceted thing: of course, there's the romantic love between AK&KS -- but that has become such a tarnished thing. No matter how many hugs KYPH writers have been forcing down our brains, we have acknowledged - either silently or vocally, quietly or loudly, - that ove is not what the P in KYPH appears to really stand for any more.

There is the love that Prithvi has (had) for Kripa, pure and true, which was stressed severely by a rather selfish Kripa.

There is the unspoken and brilliant love between Mishty and Prithvi, which was, IMHO, the first contender for the P-spotlight in KYPH.

There is the love that Naina ultimately displayed for her son; there is the desperate love that Karthik has and seeks from Naina; the love that Dilip has for his wife and children. There is the love that Daadi has for Angad, and the strange affection that Daadi has for Kripa.

All this has stolen the limelight from the dark patchy irrational romantic AK&KS love.

But the greatest mistake that KYPH writers made is when they bought Josh in, because his has been the shiniest love of them all - gloriously unquestioned and infinitely generous.

Today, for me, the P in KYPH is about Josh because that love has been so untiring and true, a tad higher than the Mishty-Prithvi love. More, where all the other loves have been tested and shown to be tarnished to a different extent, Josh's love for Angad has been tested and shone pure and strong. The only way that KYPH writers appear to be able to destroy that love is by killing Josh. Oh, evil, nasty deed. :-(

This is all, of course, conjecture and probably typical Elizabeth Fluff. But I was puzzled as to why I have been so badly affected by this news of Josh being brutally murdered. And in writing this, I realised that I adore the Friendship love the most of all loves, because unlike the romantic love or the parental love or even sibling love, it is the most unselfish. In friendship, you don't necessarily have any tangible ties that bind -- you give out of pure choice, and you can walk out at any point. It's like being on this Forum -- there's a purity of relationship there which shines despite our not really knowing anything about each other, or having met each other. (For all you know, I might be a langur who knows how to type English!)

So in killing Josh, KYPH writers are killing my notion of purest love. They are mocking the KYPH title and it distresses me a great deal.

All my very humble opinion. Thanks for taking time out to read this. Apologies for the length.

-E (Emotionally and physically exhausted Elizabeth)

"Friendship is certainly the finest balm for the pangs of disappointed love" my fav J.A quote! I felt it was apt when Joshy materialized in Angoos life as a balm!

I very much looked forward to the episodes where his animated presence just changed the whole dismal atmosphere of the show!

The only ray of sunshine in an otherwise overcast day is my buddies at IF!
