I am honestly too tiered today to write anything , but then supernatural makes me rant and thus,
I am going to be shallow and thus first mention how GOOD does Jensen look with those sunglasses , and is it just me or Jared looked really thin šŸ¤”
Adam Glass mentioned about the parallel's in this episode, which were pretty much evident.
Sam and Dean have both being in the positions of Kate and Tasha at different times, a part of me honestly does not get why the writers need to put werewolves and ghostfacers parallels to explain the relationship between Sam and Dean, we already know that they are hugely dysfunctional and co dependent to the fault, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
When Kate said 'She is family, worth talking a bullet for'
I almost laughed , like really how are even going to argue with that boys.

Anway, with Sam and Dean; I wanted to see the very moment when Sam and Dean talk for the very first time after being cured, ofcorse we did'nt get to see that.
But well we atleast saw the brothers talk and not bury everything under the carpet. Now that's a start.
Dean saying 'thank you to Sam' *he frigging deserved it* and Sam tellling that he need not thank him for anything, ever
"I watched you die. And I carried you, I carried...your corpse into your room, and I put your dead body on your bed'' OH SAM.
And then there is that Dean who carries the wight of all the guilt being 'I'm just trying to do the right thing man. Cause I am so sick and tired of doing the wrong one.'

Okay atleast they are having a healthy[errr i guess] much needed communication .
Dean bringing up Lester, I honestly dont know if Dean is genuinely annoyed at Sam for that or not, hell I dont even know even Dean knows. They spend the the entire episode questioning eachother's actions , and Dean being all awkward-trying-to-be-funny-needs-to-work-inorder-to-forget-stuff and Sam being all cautious .

This was a filler episode, we already knew that and I did not have much hopes from it and actually found it good. *I live for brother's moments, and they had that..'we' moments as Dean puts it*
Plus Sam killed both the werewolves, good, I thought writers had forgotten he is supposed to be one of the best hunters.
The title,Dean telling that there is no coming back, also Kate killing Tasha, foreshadowing much ? ,

Well boys are back on the road, hunting; for now.

Anyway I need to go watch Flash now & then study or probably get some sleep while THIS does nothing to increase my motivation.

The next episode promo- I am 70% terrified and 30% excited cause when it comes to meta episode SPN has a really REALLY high bar to cross.

The boys looked loaded with a comical version of swag in those glasses, man. The opening scene was nice enough, though and it feels a lot like Dean's Dean for the moment, at least. Monster of the week is always good as a theme for me. The episode wasn't anything new but it is build up for Fan Fiction which I have been rather expectant about, so I am waiting for next week.

And this is why Adam Glass should have written the last epi and that pathetic combo set should have been given Kate's storyline. Oh the mis match in this show.Anyways whatever as much as I still don't care about Kate and hope as hell she never kills again so that I don't have to see again, the conversations between Sam and Dean made up for a lot.Btw is it just me or they really had normal healthy uninterrupted conversation. I sat there and I was like is that really Dean? Sammy your brother hates heart to heart conversation. Is it the result of not giving divorce and couples therapy ? or was that blood not so pure? šŸ¤“

Anyways I m huge fan of Glass because I feel he hits the right notes when it comes to this show and specially the relationships in this show. So it wasn't a surprise when i ended up choking with Sam when he confessed how he felt to bring Dean's death body back home. Its kind of funny and weird how Sam still goes through it as if its happening for him for the first time. He quite literally watched and held Dean dead more or less a sum of hundred times. Mostly its gonna be more. But wow if it dosn't hit him worser than the last time. This is the Sam that plays in my head. The one who thinks who can maybe go on because he has seen it all but when it does end up happening he is still lost , hurt and broken. That never changes for him. I love love that scene and when I saw Dean's face all I could remember is him bringing Sam's corpse. Yup he knows. He has the first hand experience in it. This very thought made that scene ten times better for me.

About Lester I think Carver needs to give up. Either Jensen himself didn't believe in the stuffs he had to say or Dean was just taking a swing at whatever came infront of him to dodge his own anger with the whole thing. I mean yeah fine Sam baited Lester to catch the demon but he didn't really go and force him to make a deal. He was a douche and was too eager to see his wife dead. Sam thought he will stop him before he makes the deal and he couldn't. Also Sam has tried to save millions of people in life and sometimes he couldn't. Dean told him to move on then because it wasn't really his fault and so he applies the same now. Whats wrong with it ? After hearing Carver regarding this whole who is the real monster I was like did u make Sam sacrifice children for a ritual? Turns out he didn't even torture a human. He just found an idiot. Really after watching Sam and Dean kill demons possesing HUMAN bodies and also Angels possesing HUMAN bodies since forever, rather exorcising them out to save the human, this thing doesn't really sell anymore. That ship has sailed. Carver you go dark and find something dark like dark chocolate and forget about Lester.

I think it also comes from the fact that Dean has always seen things in white or black. He never really likes to think about the grey areas of life . Sam on the other hand has always view things in grey as he has always been in that section of life. So its easier for him to accept things it seems especially when it comes to Dean. He was fine when someone else died in Faith and that saved Dean. Dean was angry and guilty but for Sam he was sorry what happened for sure but he never regretted it. It is the same even now. Dean is angry that someone had to die cause of him and his brother brought that guy to that point but for Sam he was a casualty that he never intended for it to happen but he can move past it cause all he wanted was Dean back.

Even I don't get the parallels these days. I m like sure Ed and Harry were partners, best friends and the drifted apart because of trust issues. Sam and Dean moved past it. Kate killed Tasha because she knew Tasha will never come back from where she has gone. Sam brought back his brother from being a demon and forgave everything he did. WHAT ARE U DOING SHOW? I don't know maybe it means something to show the contrast between the rest and the brothers. Or maybe its a way to show how messed up they are. Or maybe it was a way to make them talk. Good torture if the last one is the case. I like how Dean blurted out everything. How he really needs to do something good to erase what his life has become in these past few days. Kind of shows he is struggling within himself with the memories of Demon Dean.

Sam is right when he says that Dean is not ready. It was pretty evident from the way he couldn't talk to sheriff properly and also couldn't kill the werewolf. This whole process of Demon Dean has affected Dean in some ways. I hope they explore it in the later epis.

I kind of like monster of the week epis. Its shifts from the main storyline and gives u a breather. This show can go really depressing at times. Time and now its good that the characters get reminded who they are and why they do it. Same goes for j2, they would have gone insane without these breaks in between the storylines. Also I love how they explore their relationship in these epis. Makes for a good watch without worrying about who is gonna die next.

So, here's my two cents.

I wouldn't say I loved the episode but I did like it quite much. It served as a questionnaire that Sam and Dean have to ask themselves that if they are to make such choices, what would they do? The whole build up two sisters vs two brothers, two technical monsters vs two monsters, two teams that went ahead and did the unthinkable and two teams who managed to mess up greatly. I think the number of references you can draw from Kate-Tasha to Sam and Dean is scary. This episode just hinted at if Sam will have to face a similar choice of killing Dean. This could very likely be the final blow of this season finale. Or this could be just the usual me who reads too much into things. šŸ˜†

One of the things I liked of late have been these petrified looks Sam gives to Dean whenever he's talking something that's hard to process for Sam. Like in this episode, 'you can never come back from that deep' (also, your title of the topic) And the best thing I liked about was the interrupted conversations Dean and Sam had at various junctures in the episode. The scene where Sam talks about how it was like to carry his dead brother in his arms and Dean just going to flashback mentally was all FEELS. AND MORE FEELS. AND MORE. 😳 It was actually hard to believe though that they were talking normally and for longer than usual which also brings me to the point that Dean usually seemed like Dean himself. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad one because I honestly have no idea as to what's up with this man. 😳 I am still a little (or more, may be) mad because it seems clear that they have wrapped up the Deanmon track in 3 odd episodes. Couldn't you atleast make it 5! -_- Mark of the Cain is probably all we are left with. I was expecting a combination of both and hence, disappointed there.

This episode was all about reflecting back as to what they have been through ever since 10. I don't honestly care much about the Kate and Tasha but Kate's lost everything she ever had. That's a thing you are bound to feel for. So, lets hope she goes fine from here. (also, because I wouldn't another Ed-Harry or Kate-Tasha/ Sam-Dean parallels)

PS Oh and the first scene of the episode was a cool one too!

PPS Both you and Sindhu have said everything on how the whole Lester thing doesn't fit in and seems to be blown out of proportion. 🤪
