I have decided henceforth I will never watch an EK serial, even if it is a historical. Because knowing her, she will mercilessly distort and twist everything as per her convenience.

I just hope some years down the line, someone makes a note of EK's blunders and remakes JA again. I don't mind a new cast and a new Jodha and Jalal, but I don't want Ekta to produce it

What kind of NR is this? It degrades the grandeur of such well-known historical characters! I will watch the epi though. It just seems too difficult to leave watching it all-together.

The only good thing which happened today I presume is that Shareef was exposed. I hope at least he is gotten rid of soon

Salim revolted but not for Anarkali. This is typical family drama now. Boy and girl love each other but the cruel father doesn't agree to the marriage and his wife supports him. So, the son fights his father for his love. Yahaan love story has already started and Anarkali isn't even born yet. We see Salim poking her mother's womb. Found his love already..waaah🤢

Highly hurried, bad screenplay, horrendous dialogues and what not. It takes forever to make a serial that remains in people's heart, but just takes an episode to break it.

Whatever NR they wish to show, Salim disliknig MUZ, Ruk being empress of all 3 worlds, its just going to go above the audience's head. No one wishes to comprehend the nonsense they are serving on a silver platter.

Abhay is doing a great job of informing us about Akbar, and his less credited but epic queen MUZ. So now watching this serial is just for comic value and the perfect 'DUMMY's GUIDE ON SPOILING HISTORY AND SERIALS'.

I rather enjoy memories of Akdha till now then spoil it by watching this. Akdha and Parijat forever. ❤️

well said. there were so many wrong things. may be director was obsesses with rukku cha. As per history Jodha gave birth to salim in sikhri but akbar built her rang mahal for her delivery on emergency basis. he awarded her navaratan haram which was so precious. actually akbar stop talking to rukku for 7 years. he never gave her salim. after the twins death just showing some scrap. and why so hurry, just finished everything in 3 episodes. not even feeling to watch anymore. even during sikhri track they both are like strangers.

today I was going through the promos before the show's start...man they were classy! as if a film on TV..so grand and elegant!😭😭

I feel SalimKali ki mohabbat teen level tak hi rahegi aur wohi pe deewar mein chunwana and stuffs hoga...coz PariJat r too young to be shown as old parents..and Salim ki pehli shaadi 16 saal mein hui thi..toh Anarkali wala kissa usse pehle khatam hoga.

Ruk is here to stay yaar. She is not going anywhere.We can only hope for her downfall in this NR. Everything was fine after Salim was born. Waise bhi she outlived both Akbar and HK.

Wohi na, I feel sad more than angry. These great people must be turning in their graves right now seeing how they are being degraded🤢 EK definitely needs counselling if she feels that this stupid drama which sold 10 years ago will sell now as well!🥱

Of course Salim fought a war with his father, but the reasons were different! They are making this show some typical Bollywood masala movie! Its just sick and terrible!🤢

Chittor Massacre is considered a lack spot Ibu historians, but it is an example of Akbar's Great War strategy mastermind. It was a tough war and he won it with resounding success. I had written abt this earlier that this war could have been used by CVs to show us Akbar as the Great War strategist. After all Akbar is called Great coz of the expansions that he did to the Mughal sultanate, and he did fight some brilliant wars.

You are right about the saintification of Jodha. I had written abt this too earlier that Jodha, the fiery princess has almost disappeared. She just accepts everything that everyone says to her, she seems to be apologising continuously for no fault of hers. Sheba been reduced to being a DOORMAT

RUKS on the other hand seems to be getting away with anything and everything. Jalal seems to turn into jelly when he speaks with her and she is able to squash him with ease. And what's more she even enjoys it

I have not yet stopped seeing the show, but Kam sure the day is not far. There seems to be no substance left. Just some riff-raff

I would like to know about the Great War Strategy employed in Chittor by Akbar(not on this thread, though), despite using which it took him 4 months to win the war, and that too when the Fort Doors were opened for Saka by the defenders themselves. I don't see that this war establishes his military prowess if you consider his losses and extent of army and men employed. :)

I found your comments interesting about Empire ruled with humanity, which i find hard to believe, though in the show it "seems" to be a reality. My comment whose links i have given above mentions something about this point also.. Would like to know your views on it. :)

Well, i will agree that BOTH Jodha and Jalal are shown behaving quite strangely. Jalal gifts "promises" at the drop of hat like he did today with the mother of Anarkali(to be). And Jodha's dialogues to Ruqayya are still making me mad. ;p

About Ruqayya - Nothing more can be said, Radhika has summarized it so aptly in her post.

What we witnessed a year back was a class apart. It was so good to watch and got us all addicted to it.

I don't understand this. Ekta has all the money in the world. She could have gone ahead and made a grand remake of K.Asif's Mughal-E-Azam for all I care but why destroy JA?

I don't trust Ekta. She can do a NR in fiction as well if that even makes sense. She may give us a lavish wedding of Salim-Anarkali with Akbar's blessings.🤢

Yaar as far as seeing Old Akdha is concerned, that is something inevitable as much as we can't see Parijat as old parents. I say so because we have JJ soul talks and I feel we will get to see JJ(?) story till the end. they have to grow old. Their love was epic after all. This is a fb of sorts.😕
