Former Farmer!! -Big B

Big B, the Shehanshah of bollywood, has finally surrendered his status of being a 'farmer' by donating his 4.5 bighas agricultural land in Barabanki district of UP to the concerned Gram Sabha for building a school and has even offered to fund the project even at this stage. He has also donated the Pune agricultural land held by Abhishek Bachchan and himself near Pawna dam and wants the farmers to benefit from this.

Amitabh Bachchan, the star of the millennium, has written a letter to divisional commissioner of Pune that he wanted to donate the 4.5 hectare land in his name and 4.01 hectares of land in the name of Abhishek Bachchan, held in Pale village near Pawna dam, for the benefit of the displaced farmers of the area. A similar letter has also been sent to Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh in order to make the air clear in this regard.

Sources say that this was done by Big B to prevent any further damage to his reputation from this 'farmer' status controversy. As a source close to Big B says, ' Amitabh was tired of the talk that he tried to usurp agricultural land and used the 'farmer' status as a shield.'

However, there was no other way left to Amitabh in regard to Pune land once he surrendered his 'farmer' status by donating the 4.5 bighas of agricultural land in Daulatpur village of Barabanki district. As the law on agricultural land in Maharashtra clearly states that any farmland in the state may be bought only by an agriculturist and Big B is an actor, not a farmer. So it automatically becomes illegal for the Bachchans to own that property, hence they decided to make a virtue out of it by donating it.

It may be recalled that even Barabanki land acquisition deal was blown out of proportion after the political leadership changed in the state from Mulayam Singh Yadav to Mayawati. It was the personal enmity of Mayawati with Mulayam Singh that made her dig deeper and pursue the Bachchan's land deal very zealously. The matter had gone to court and a lower court had scrapped the whole deal, later though Big B got a stay on that order form Allahabad High Court. But he knew that there was irregularities committed and hence opted out of the whole mess by donating the land.

Earlier, too Big B was a victim of political vendetta when V P Singh had accused him to be a recipient of Bofors gun kickback and Bachchan responded by resigning his MP seat from Lok Sabha and retreated into his cell. Finally, he had got cleared his name from the whole controversy by a London court but vowed never to return to politics. And he never did directly but Amar Singh dragged him indirectly for his own benefit and now Amitabh is in the enemy book of Mayawati only for that reason.

And all this is Mayajaal and nothing else, no Big B??
