#I love both and think they're all awesome ,since i'm a complete addict ,i have decided to do an extensive study on them when i should be actually studying for my exams or doing my homework
SIMILARITIES

1)Poor Girl,rich guy

It seems to be something very normal in indian and korean shows for extremly poor girls to end up with extremley rich guys.It does not matter how poor you are,you are still going to be surrounded by rich hot guys who want to marry you.

The poor girl is obviously rooted with great family values.Does not let anyone mess with her and is sassy as hell.Even if her parents are poor as shit and the only person who can financially help them is a hot guy, she'll still scream at the hot guy.

The rich is usually spoilt or arrogant, usually has a bad past.First hates the main girl but later loves her.

2)mother,mother in law/some family member who hates the girl

3)some family member who loves the couple

4)best friend or a guy close to the guy who is also in love with the girl

5)Almost kisses

EXAMPLE

let me give you a small story line of two shows one is indian and the other is korean.

Extremly poor girl, lives with poor family, somehow comes to place ruled by/owned by the rich guy. Both hate each other at first sight. They slowly fall in love with each other. However boy's best friend also loves her. Also an evil guy who poses to be her friend loves her and kidnaps her and her boyfriend. They escape and somehow overcome these hurdles. Also girl's best friend falls for guy's other best friend. The guy also has a sister who totally supports their relationship and a mother who hates it.
-(BOYS OVER FLOWERS)

Extremly poor girl, lives with poor family, somehow comes to place ruled by/owned by the rich guy. Both hate each other at first sight. They slowly fall in love with each other. However boy's cousin also loves her. Also the guy's brother in law is an evil guy who poses to be single loves her and kidnaps her and her boyfriend. They escape and somehow overcome these hurdles. Also girl's best friend(adoptive sister/cousin) falls for guy's other cousin. The guy also has a sister who totally supports their relationship and a grandmother who hates it.

-ISS PYAAR KO KYA NAAM DOON

Is it just me or are they really similar.I guess that's because they're both sort of cinderella stories.

DIFFERNCES

1.Most girls in kdramas have some kind of part time jobs or some job.Indian serial girls main job is usually working for the guy, getting married to the guy (etc)

2.Indian shows don't usually show unrequited love between leads
There aren't many indian shows which i have seen in which one lead is completely in love and for a majority of the show the other doesn't care at all.

For example- In playful kiss, the girl was hopelessly in love for a majority of the epis while the guy was totally nonchalant most of the time.In an indian show the leads usually have some kind of scenes in which we are shown that both love each other equally

3.In KDRAMAS the parallel lead at some point has a chance

In BOF ,for a moment you start to think that maybe ji hoo will get jan di,but in indian shows you know from the very start who the girl will end up with.Love triangles are really biased in india.

4.Carrying the girl

KDRAMAS usually use piggy back rides

India usually has the guy carry the girl bridal style

😃

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Honestly i wouldn't mind if my life was a korean or indian drama.I have no intentions to offend any show

Good post..When you compare BOF and IPK that looks similar..Tho I've seen only BOF fully..On JiHoo getting Jandi possibility..Very true..But we know its Junpyo all the way..😉

I love Kdramas..In most Hindi serials they recycle the same plot in every show..Like memory loss, double action, lost in jungle, hero geting married to 2nd heroine as heroine ask, etc..😆 Thank God Kdramas don't have such plots..

There are some similarities but kdramas are far better then indian drama...when indian drama start it start with different concept but at the end all indian drama become same saas bahu etc except for few Indian drama all other are really boring with same stretched plot and i don't know why they don't end them or give a season break so that writer can come up with good story and actors can also focus on something else in meantime. I just hope indian dramas producer learn something from kdrama or any other foreign drama .

i wish indian dramas were shorter in the number of episodes. If an Indian drama had 20-25 episodes that were 45 min long or 40-50 episodes that were 20 minutes long they would be more enjoyable and the plots wouldn't go so slow.

Comparingly in indian dramas there are saas bahu saga love stories is totally not worth watching its seriously having many repeat scenes... but there many indian dramas of pure love stories n even many different concept love stories like kmh ,sadda haq , ippknd etc make watching indian drama woth watching ...still some way things are predictable in indian drama...!!!
But Korean drama makes me adventrous... n takes me another worls totally unpredictable...worth make us watch it !!!! n its love scenes and cinematography and places used in their story make it feel grand and real ...!!!! N Guys n girls r damn beautiful in korean drama!!!

somehow more partial towards korean drama !!!

Well. . ..

Indian Dramas, : We get to see different type of relation depths( b/w siblings, in-laws,). .. Includes more of family, which I like. . .I am totally not into a Saas-Bahu dramas, and I haven't seen it much . ..I does not choose to see an Indian drama if its from an Ekta Production . . .

The Indian dramas I saw was Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hain ( I stopped in b/w . .. as it was the 1st Indian Drama ),

PRC , Bidaai . . . . These are the ones that I have seen in a full fledged format. . . .. So, since north - indian culture is something new to me. . .It was interesting to see the whole thing. . ..

Korean Dramas : It comes with different story-lines. .. Which is something Unique . . . Music oriented, and mainly the reason is that, to see their lifestyle. .. clothing, food ( that's something I can't digest!! ) . . .. their places, houses, language , everything is new. ..So, it attracts . . .

Similarities : rich boy - poor girl, there will a lead couple!!😆, family is also shown, there will be a villain but in K-D that is reasonable and makes sense.. . .. songs on basis of lead couple .. .but in K-D its more interesting!

Now, that I am into Korean, I honestly doesn't feel to watch Indian -D😲 . . . .

So, me too biased to K-D!!!!!!! 😆

exactly!! . . .In K-D . ..they keep up the concept till the very end and its watchable since the epis are only less. ..

But in I-D, they go on and on that after few epis, the whole story is changed!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😕

Asian shows and Indian shows have quite some similarities, after all they are produced in countries which have a long history of culture and traditions😉
There is drama and family system shown in both along with of course beautiful BGMs. But the striking difference is the content; drama in Indian soaps is overrated. Also, Asian shows have no qualms in showing kissing or intimate scenes, unlike Indian shows, where even a peck on the lips causes a sensational news🥱
I am hoping for that scenario to change on Indian TV in the near future!

Don't mind.. i actually find the indian dramas quiet lame...
i personally was a big fan of miley jab hum tum... but now when i think abt it. i feel like how dumb i was to follow that show...
Korean Dramas r in a different level... they stick to there story line... they r short nd simple..no dragging nd all tht...

I totally know that feeling ,and MJHT was one of my first indian shows.Loved nupur and mayank. But now when I watch it i accidentally laugh, because its so unrealistic .Nowadays because of korean dramas ,i can't watch indian dramas. The only indian drama I watch is based on a korean show.
