As stupid as this sounds, I thought that would actually be a good ending for the books. Not in that exact way of course,(since the wizarding world has to be real) different but the same idea. If the ending is something grand after a while everyone would read the ending, and Harry Potter would sort of lose its magic. But the books need an ending that will keep the charm, something that cannot be just told like "harry dies" something that will keeping readers reading the book over and over again. I personally wanted the series to end with Harry waking up and then he receives his letter from Hogwarts, but he does not remember his dream..just that is was scary and odd. I thought that up years ago, but J.K. would not really end the series like that.
