Aamir Khan and his Bhojpuri teacher, inseparable for two years

Aamir Khan is known to get into the skin of his character. This time too he has done something very different for his upcoming film P.K.

The actor went through intense training to learn Bhojpuri for the film as the language plays a key role in the movie. Aamir came up with the idea of having Bhojpuri as it would add a quirky and humorous touch to the character and at the same time, people would be able to understand most of it.

Aamir has been specially learning Bhojpuri since the past two years under the guidance of Bhojpuri TV writer Shanti Bhushan, who taught the actor the nuances of the language. They specially worked on the language and diction to perfect it.They would try and practice in between shoots and schedules of the film because the language is very tricky to learn and requires a certain diction.

When contacted, Shanti Bhushan said, "Rajuji (Hirani, director) called me at Vidhu Vinod Chopra's office and informed me about it. They gave me the dialogues of P.K. and asked me to convert it to the Bhojpuri- Hindi language, which audiences can understand. Apart from teaching Bhojpuri, I gave the required diction training to Aamir at his house for two months where he used to write the altered dialogues according to his convenience.

tuck while shooting he asked me to also accompany him during shoots. Aamir is so dedicated that he used to learn and rehearse his lines during the break or even while getting ready. I remember last year once when he had to attend an event in Pune where he was meeting the Dalai Lama, he asked me to join him during that journey so that he could spend his travel time to learn the language better. Aamir loves the language and ' Tukur tukur' that he says in the trailer is his favourite Bhojpuri word."

P.K will be the second project where Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan will work together once again.
