According to a source of information I got ,Prithvi was the reason for his death.Though the source is not so reliable this fact cannot be denied either.Some instances show that he was not as noble as he is picturised.
Moin-ud-din Chisti,a sufi saint was disregarded by him at first.When saint Chisti arrived at Ajmer it was dawn and he chose a place near the stables of Ajmer's fort for his prayers and rest.When Prithvi came to know about this he sent his soldiers and had him beaten up and thrown out.The next day his soldiers encountered with some problem and reported to the Chauhan king.Later he apologised the saint.
In the swayamvar Sanyogita never looked at the princes who had arrived.She cut straight through thr regal assemble and garlanded Prithvi's statue.😳(If she had done this then she knew that there would be a statue of Prithvi as the watchman.Mostly Chand and Vaishali/Chamki helped Prithvi n sanyo).
During this time Delhi was a very prosperous kingdom and hadinexhaustible wealth.This resulted in a series of invasions.One such was lead by Ghori.Prithvi defeated him and made him a prisoner.He humiliated him and forced him to wear lady's outfit-gold bangles.Ghori was very much annoyed and joined hands with Jaichandra and the rest is history.Jiachandra was killed and that led to the origin of Slave dynasty.
After Prithvi's death Samyukta set herself ablaze and her maids followed her too.
