This isn't as much an analysis, rather it's an outlet for me to vent.
I must say that I really did try and leave my bitterness and cynicism at the door while watching yesterday's episode, but to no avail.
Sure, it wasn't as farcical as Thursdays episode, it wasn't half way bad. But despite all my efforts, that nasty old cynicism snuck through again yesterday.
I figure by now, Ekta thinks she can appease us by throwing in an Awww scene or in yesterdays episode two Awww scenes in the show, to distract us from the other happenings.
Let me start off by saying I loved the A-K interaction at the party. The playfulness, the teasing and the clear love for one another, the general happiness of being with each other.
It was also really sweet to see Angad impatiently waiting for the jeweler to bring the gift, in a form of a ring, and for a milli second, I was hoping to see an official will-you-marry-me scene. But that never came to be, which, along with other aspects of the show, disappointed me once again.
Before I get started with said other aspects, let me once again make it clear that despite me once again being slightly bitter, slightly cynical, slightly skeptical....call it what you want....I am and will always be a staunch Angad – Kripa supporter, and a loveatic in the true sense of what the word has come to mean to us.
Kripa has definitely overstepped her limits. I'm sorry to say, but for the life of me, I never thought she would become so possessive over Angad, to the point that I'm starting to compare her trying to control Angad, to the likes of Naina. I, for one can't stand to see this side of Kripa. It's a side of her that goes against everything that we know of her, and, yes, I know that she is afraid of loosing Angad once again, but at least give the guy some breathing room. Give him the opportunity to sort things out with his best friend. And if you don't want to listen to Josh because of your suspicions, what harm is there in him speaking to his cousin.
AND WHAT WAS THAT WHOLE "I WAS THERE FOR HIM THROUGH HIS DIFFICULT TIMES" BIT???
SAY WHAT!!! I repeat: Say What!!!! 😲 😲
And I could go on repeating that a few more times. 😆
Excuse me lady, but as far as I can remember, when Angad wad going through the worst time of his life i.e. loosing you, loosing his baby, betrayed by his family, you were suffering as well in your own hell, so there ain't no way you were there for him. In fact no one, not even daadi was there for him. The only ones who stood by Angad were Josh and Aaliyah….the same two people who you now suspect and almost slapped in that respective order.
Kripa sure is digging her own grave more and more each day isn't she? And like Nitu said, she is going to be the sole cause of Angads hatred towards her, and boy is he going to hate her!!!
And Angad,....no how-do-you-do, no can-we-talk, no please explain, just a very "masculine", public slap followed by a furious set down. This is the man you consider your best friend, don't you think you owe him the common courtesy of a private talk, of an opportunity for him to explain himself, to say the least.
However, I'm not going to say any more about Angu baby, because he is suffering at the false thought that his best friend betraying him. After all, behind that slap and "confrontation", you could see the hurt and pain in his eyes.
I can't even begin to imagine the pain he's going to go through after Josh's demise, after he learns that he was set up. I cringe at the thought of the all engulfing pain that he's going to feel.
The best in all this was Josh.
Josh, who, to use Veeru's word, has a big heart, and is loyal to Angad. Josh, who is a big enough man to take such a public insult, such a public humiliation without retaliating. Josh, who despite everything that has taken place, has one thought and one thought only....to find out what has happened and to set any misunderstandings straight.
Josh, who values Angads friendship so much that he is miserable at the mere thought that Angad is angry at him.
Josh, who, along with Aaliyah, has displayed the only intelligence around to know right off the bat that someone is trying to cause discourse and misunderstandings between him and Angad.
Josh, who seems to have feelings for Aaliyah, and those feelings may never come to pass.
One thing though: Both Angad and Aaliyah told Kripa that she doesn't understand friendship.
Aaliyah blasted her with it magnificently at the end of the show, sating that she never understood Prithvi's friendship, that she never gave him anything but hurt and pain.
Angad told her that she wouldn't understand how it hurts to have the friend you trusted the most in the world betray you.
I'm thinking: maybe a premonition of what's to come when she realizes she was wrong, when, if we're right, and Prithvi is the bad guy, she'll these words will come back to haunt her.
I don't even want to think of that horrid preview for tonight, its enough to make my blood boil. 😡 😡
