Dastaan : an epic saga

If someone asks me to list my favorite shows ..Dastaan will be listed among top 3.. :) :)
I read the novel Bano(dastaan was based on it) and although I knew the whole story of that the drama... still I loved it.
I am a Fawad khan fan but this time it was Sanam baloch who impressed me.There were certain scenes when she ruled the heart. She portrayed the role of Bano so perfectly that I smiled with her and cried with her.
Fawad as Hassan was fabulous.You would fall for his romantic lines . And the way by which he teases Bano..Haaye <3 <3
But it is not just a love story.It has many more elements to it and that is why I liked Dastaan so much.Earlier I used to thought that there was no need to separate Hindustan but after watching this show somewhere I felt the insecurities of Muslims at that particular time.There are various characters who would bewitch you. Special reference to Suraiyya khala i.e. Saba..she is simply gorgeous.
I watched that show and I was crying when I watched the last episode.I think it is one of the best serial till date.
Hope that Zindagi telecasts it soon because it is one of those dramas one should not miss.❤️

Dastaan is just something else!

Like i said in an earlier thread about Dastaan; I would be highly surprised if Zindagi decides to run it because i know how sensitive some sections are regarding Muslims and Pakistan. But in my opinion this drama is and should be viewed beyond all of that. To deprive the Indian audience of this piece of Art would be utter injustice. Yes Dastaan is THAT good.

Dastaan is one show that transcends channels, ratings, reviews, comparisons, politics, religion and even ideologies. It's a Masterpiece. A Poetry in motion.

Dastaan must be watched for the sheer brilliance of it's story telling, direction, authenticity, the pain and reality of partition, rawness of emotions and most of all the performances!


It's like my sister says, Dramas like Dastaan only come by once in decades.

Oh and if you liked Sanam Baloch, then you should watch her performance in Durr-e-Shahwar or Dhoop Chaon as it would be called on Zindagi. She is equally brilliant in it. She is such a powerhouse performer this gal. Truly gifted.

Dastaan is a beautiful saga. I loved Sanam Baloch! And Mera Hassan!!! ❤️ Hayeee! ❤️ He was soo pure! I loved his romantic lines..❤️ Yes..One needs to watch it being unbiased.. Hope it airs in India. But I dunno whether they wud telecast cuz sum Indians can found it offensive..😊 And Yes I loveee Saba!! ❤️ She was gorgeous as Suraiyya..❤️ I liked her chemistry with Fawad!

Humsafar is totally diiferent..it is full fiction and a complete love story..

Agree with you 😊 I too hope that they will telecast it..as an Indian I think Dastaan should not be criticized because it is just a creation by a writer which is adapted into a serial and a writer is free to express his/her point of views while writing something..so I hope that others don't find it offensive 😊

Absolutely Agree wid you Mansi..😊 Ppl need to watch it being unbiased. But The current situations between the two countries are already agitated, So the telecast of Dastaan may lead to trouble.. Plus Many extremists are here who might take this to a new level.. Hope ur understanding what I mean.. Otherwise I wud lovee to watch Dastaan. I lovee its OST.. Sohail Haider has sung it very beautifully..❤️ I love the lines.."Saagar Si Aankhon Me Teri Nasha Sa Chaya Hai.. Mehki Si Saanson Ne Teri Khushboo Ko Jagaaya Hai.."

Cant say much abt Dastaan as this show is ver close to my heart. Brilliant story and cinematic exp plus blockbuster performance...this dramas is more special for me coz of Fawads portrayal as Hassna..Sanam as Bano has done full justice to her role and one is feels her pain and plight she was in Sanam is brilliant actresses imo but i am more close to Hassan ..i m waiting for the day whn he wud get a chance to outdo his perf as Hassan... his intensity is unmatched so far.
