I agree with what you're saying! I've been having the same feeling too. He has tried the ring on all the women of the Diwan Household, apart from Avantika. Even during his intro scene, the ring fell right in front of Avantika's feet, but Ayush didn't let her touch it.

Also the fact that he is miffed with her ever since his entry, proves that he somehow is holding a grudge from the past, perhaps that grudge that she left or abandoned him for Harish (if the Amit dude is his father).

Before her marriage, Avantika must be living with Nanu, Preeti and Anuj and hence they should be aware of this or her state right. And so, it cannot be possible if all of them are hiding this truth of Avantika(having a kid before marriage of someone else's) from the beginning of the show. And also, if they show us this, this will actually degrade whole story. A beautiful character will be degraded!
