I've been following Saregama alongwith II3 and must say for the first time in 3 season I think Saregama is beating II3 all the way. Reasons are:
1. The judges in Saregama promote GOOD SINGERS. They dont pull legs of people unlike the II3 judges. I am shocked to see II3 judges going after good contestants like Emon, Prashant, Charu and Pooja in recent episodes for very minor mistakes. The judges have simply become too biased in II3 which has taken away from the program.
2. There is too much infighting among the II3 judges and almost every judge has certain favorites. This wasnt used to be the case when Sonu and Farah were judges in II1 and 2.
3. Sonu used to promote good singing and now thats completely missing from II3. Instead of CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM the judges are blindly issuing decrees on the candidates likw eg 'YOU ARE FLAT' or 'YOU ARE A COLLEGE IDOLAND NOT PROFESSIONAL SINGER"??? If prashant was a colege singer why the heck was he selected among 30,000 ceontestants in the first place for the gala rounds?
4. In Saregama judges are very mature. I really like ismail Darbar, Himesh and Bappi Lahri. Whilee Vishal-Shekhar are very positive and energetic judges. On other hand II3 judges seem like ones that they are ready to blast any singer for no reason.
5. Dancing is being promoted big time this year for some unknown reason. Please Sony bring Sonu back so that he can ask the contestants to concentrate on singing.
6. Saregama has some fantastic singers this year like Raja hassan and Amanat who get excellent comments every week by their judges. The judges at saregama want topromote talent. On the other hand the BEST SINGER OF II3, EMON CHATTERJEE is being terribly treated by Anu Malik and Javed Akhtar. This should stop immediately.
7. There are too many artificial and fake dramas and LOVE STORIES in II3... these are completely NOT NEEDED and must be stopped immediately. Is this a singing contest or a TV Drama??
For the first time in 3 seasons, I am enjoying SA RE GAMA more than II. I do think there are others who think same as me.
