Beauty of that scene. *Take on Episode 8*

What an episode. I cried at one moment, laughed at the next. Rajan sir couldn't have been more right :') What a show. Its USP as he said is just the sheer simplicity of it. Without further ado,I would like to mention the one scene which touched me so much. I'm sure you all must know what I'm talking about.

Shagun and Neha's convo. Twice I saw this scene and both the times,I had a lump in my throat. As Neha hears the whole argument between her dad and her Motu Bhaiyya where her father mistakenly blurted out that her bro had wanted to take away the life support,to Neha, her world had stopped with those very words. Tears ran down her cheeks as she tried in vain to wipe them away. She looked at them, her eyes screaming shock, betrayal, hurt and gut wrenching sadness. Neither of them could even meet those eyes, that innocent face now marred by shock.

She goes to her room, not uttering a word to them, her very expressions ripping through their hearts.. The lights are off,she does not want anyone to see her in sorrow. Sandeep is devastated. Shagun urges him to go talk it out with Neha but how would he face her. So she takes it in her hands. Now,this is the beauty of the scene. Initially it was Shagun who was upset with the money that was spent by Akku, her money allotted for Suraj. But when she saw her husband in pain, she could not sit still anymore.

She takes some sandwiches with her and tries to talk. Neha looks away ,sadness etched on that innocent face. Then Shagun tells her what exactly happened. What the entire family went through. How they used to come to the hospital,to dress her up,taking turns. 'Unke liye hospital nahin tha, unke liye aisa thi ki woh din tum wapas ghar aa jayegi' Their hopes, their prayers, everything was for Neha <3 But as years and years passed without any marked improvement, her brother who could not stand her in this condition anymore, urged the doctors against his will,to take off the life support. 😭 Neha gulps, swallowing tears. She feels the pain which her family had gone through for her. She understands the next moment and hugs her Shagun Bhabhi who takes her in her arms ❤️

That moment touched my heart when Shagun urges Neha to understand what her brother had done and how much she meant to him. Those words, the raw emotions ,it was BEAUTIFUL and so TOUCHING.

And the other scene of course was when she goes to her brother's room ,who is sitting in the very same darkness, starts to tickle him and he tells her how much he loves his sister and she does too and the pillow fight and everything! I just cannot get over this episode :') In fact, each and every one.

Smriti Kalra is on a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL. She makes everything, every emotion just stark real. TAKE A BOW you wonderful wonderful woman 👏 Your views guys ?

Just saw the epi
Neha and Shagun scene was done nicely, i thought Shagun is evil yesterday the way she was shouting about the money, but I guess shes not evil loved the way she handled Neha and spoke to her nicely.
Loved the sibling bonding between Neha and Sandeep
Loved Smiriti performance she makes Neha character so real

Very true.
Beautiful episode. Shagun's character is very close to real life she isn't out and out evil which was proved today. She feels bad when something unjust happens with her but also is a nice person.

Great post, Abi!
Overall, it was a nice episode, content wise, light shed on number of characters.

Aman - I love how Neha brings out this protective feeling in him, when he tries to stop Dadi from being mean to her, or when his face drops as he watches her go away sadly. It was a brief moment as he watched her go, but there was so much expressed. The sadness he felt because she was quiet & sad. The disappointment in himself that he couldnt do anything for her (similar feelings to yesterday's episode when she stood outside the jewellery shop). There we had restrained Aman.
But in the later half of the episode, we had strong Aman, someone who had the guts to raise his voice infront of Dadi for his mother. Aman might be quiet & restrained but he is a fighter & he will never let things go beyond a certain limit.
While Aman may appear meek (relatively when comparing to Neha), he is not afraid of raising his voice, of fighting things out. At least that's what I felt today. Or maybe its just with his brother. Neha, on the other hand, may appear to be frank, naughty & talkative, but she is not good with confronting her deepest feelings, esp sharing them with family. Oh how beautifully they would complete each other😳

Shagun - I like how her character isn't typical or vampish. It is so real. Money is a sensitive topic for her, but that doesn't mean that emotions aren't. She cares for the family, for her husband & for Neha. This was their first proper conversation but yet their relationship didn't seem new. Sometimes, it takes just a min for two people to connect (Shagun/Neha) while sometimes even years of friendship can't do that (Akku/Aman).

Neha's father - Such a sweetheart. He clearly loves his children so much. Despite the daily struggle to make ends meet, he never stops them from spending on things they need.
My respect for him increased tenfold when he apologized to his son for saying those harsh words. How often do our parents apologize to us when they hurt us? But we always have to apologize when we are wrong. The lack of reciprocity between parents/children today explain the growing distances between such relationships. I wish all parents understood that it isn't all about hierarchy. This brings me to

Karthik - He's not a bad guy. Just a rebellious young adult, who wants to live life king size without having to work hard. I wonder who pampered him so much that despite living in a family where Aman slaves to make ends meet, he can be so ignorant of it. Right when its as real & near as it can be. Guess he'll learn it the hard way.
I don't know why but I really want to see his interaction with Neha😆

Hitler Dadi - wonder why she disapproves of Aman, that too, when he is the sole breadwinner of the house.. Is Aman adopted or the son of his father's affair? Probably something scandalous lol.

PRECAP - So Dida will know about Neha's feelings. Why do I feel like she's going to be the cupid between our jodi (Aman & Neha).

Looking forward to more!!
