Exactly, I am not saying its wrong to have help...no if you ca afford it get it, but atleast give them a bed if they stay overnight and the same food you eat, i have seen people serving them different food also...so sad, Its not just Pakistan and India, I have seen problems like that in the middle east, malaysia and singapore...In Singapore the maids room in my apartment was so small that it could hardly hold one bed yet the land lord told me the previous tenants had two maids in the same room😕.Originally posted by: -Mischievous-
Well, I have personally never had a "sevak". But I think the whole idea of the "sevak" is wrong. But sadly in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc, its very common and its also common for people to treat their servants and caretakers as dirt, like they aren't human beings. They don't get beds, no proper blankets, eat whatever is left after everyone finishes, & just work 24/7. Some real 'sevaks' are treated even worse than Gautam, Pritam, & Praneet have been treated.
